How do I get back to Trier?
Regional trains run daily from Koblenz to Trier. Bikes travel free on weekdays from 9 a.m. and all day on weekends. The ticket costs approx. €23 and can be added at booking.
Why is late June to mid-July the cheapest?
The Moselle follows wine-tourism demand: spring blossom and autumn harvest draw the most visitors, so early summer is quieter — ideal for budget-conscious cyclists.
Is demi-board available?
Yes — 3 x 3-course dinner can be added as a supplement at +€105 pp.
Can I visit Eltz Castle?
Yes, on Day 5 there is a detour opportunity from Moselkern. Eltz Castle is one of Germany's best-preserved medieval castles and well worth the side trip.
Is the route hilly?
No. The cycle path is flat along the river. Vineyards and castles tower above you, but the riding stays at water level.
