Koh Yao Noi

Bangkok to Koh Yao Noi via Khao Sok

From the bustle of Bangkok to the silence of an Andaman island, this ten-day journey traces the Gulf of Thailand on quiet back roads few travellers ever see. You will ride past fishing villages and coconut groves, pause at cliffside temples, and watch the sun melt into deserted beaches. The route stays mostly flat, on paved and peaceful roads, with only a handful of short climbs to earn the view. Six days in the saddle are woven together with boat crossings and transfers that carry you inland into the jungle of Khao Sok and out across turquoise water to Koh Yao Noi. You will sleep by a river beneath limestone peaks, glide over the flooded forest of Ratchaprapha Lake, and finish on one of Thailand's last unspoilt islands — two free days that are entirely your own. Your luggage travels ahead of you, and the LocalRoutes team is never more than a phone call away.

Laplae

Thailand Heritage Plains via Uthai Thani

Far from the beaches and the crowds, this eight-day ride follows the quiet backbone of Thailand's central plains, from the riverside town of Uthai Thani north to the wooden lanes of Laplae. You will pedal gentle, mostly flat roads between rice paddies and villages where daily life still unfolds at its own pace. Along the way you will wander the ruins of Sukhothai, the first Thai capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the quieter temples of Si Satchanalai hidden among forested grounds. You will sleep in family guesthouses, share home-cooked dinners, and meet potters, weavers and hosts who open their doors with genuine warmth. This is a journey about depth rather than distance — moderate days in the saddle, a support vehicle never far away, and an itinerary shaped around the Thailand few travellers ever reach.

Chiang Rai

Chiang Rai & the Golden Triangle

This eight-day loop from Chiang Rai pushes deep into one of the wildest and most beautiful corners of northern Thailand. From tea-covered hillsides to hilltribe villages and the banks of the Mekong at the heart of the Golden Triangle, every stage reveals a different face of the region. This is a tour for riders who love the mountains. The roads are mostly paved, the climbing is serious — the queen stage to Phu Chi Fa alone gains over 2,000 metres — and the descents and panoramas reward every effort. A support vehicle follows each stage, so you can push hard or ease off, with harder alternative routes waiting in the app for those who want more. You will ride past golden temples and royal gardens, cross the Thai-Burmese border market at Mae Sai, and finish with a boat trip on the Mekong before returning to Chiang Rai and its famous White Temple.
