Thailand Heritage Plains via Uthai Thani
Central Plains & Sukhothai Heritage
Short Description
Far from the beaches and the crowds, this eight-day ride follows the quiet backbone of Thailand's central plains, from the riverside town of Uthai Thani north to the wooden lanes of Laplae. You will pedal gentle, mostly flat roads between rice paddies and villages where daily life still unfolds at its own pace. Along the way you will wander the ruins of Sukhothai, the first Thai capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the quieter temples of Si Satchanalai hidden among forested grounds. You will sleep in family guesthouses, share home-cooked dinners, and meet potters, weavers and hosts who open their doors with genuine warmth. This is a journey about depth rather than distance — moderate days in the saddle, a support vehicle never far away, and an itinerary shaped around the Thailand few travellers ever reach.
