Cycling Tours in the UK

1 tour available

Britain rides differently from continental Europe: no long traffic-free river path, but a dense web of quiet lanes, National Cycle Network signage and villages spaced a comfortable hour apart. Our UK bike tour is a self-guided circuit of the Cotswolds — 220 km over 8 days from Cheltenham, through honey-coloured stone villages, Roman remains and the gentle hills of England’s largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Cotswold Classic loops out of the Regency spa town of Cheltenham and back, taking in Stanton, Snowshill Manor, Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury, Cirencester and Moreton-in-Marsh, with Chedworth Roman Villa and Sudeley Castle on the way. Daily stages are short by touring standards (30–50 km) over rolling terrain and designated cycle tracks, which makes this cycling tour of the UK a realistic first bike tour as well as a relaxed week for experienced riders. Hotels, daily luggage transfer, GPS tracks and travel insurance are included; hybrid and e-bike rental is available as an add-on. The route is circular, so no return transfer is needed and it can be extended up to 11 nights on request.
