Tour Program

Day 1: Arrive in Cheltenham
Settle into Cheltenham, a Regency-era spa town nestled at the edge of the Cotswolds. With its grand architecture, independent boutiques, and vibrant dining scene, it is the perfect base for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Cheltenham – Moreton-in-Marsh (~48 km)
Your cycling adventure begins with a short transfer from Cheltenham into the heart of the Cotswolds. You will ride through a selection of local Cotswold villages past picture-postcard views to the delightful village of Snowshill, where the National Trust Manor House holds a wonderful collection of historic artefacts. Continue through rolling countryside to Moreton-in-Marsh, passing the Indian-inspired architecture of Sezincote House and the Cotswold Wildlife Park along the way.

Day 3: Moreton-in-Marsh – Bourton-on-the-Water (~41 km)
Cycling past the River Evenlode, you will ride from Moreton-in-Marsh to Bourton-on-the-Water via traditional Cotswold villages such as Stow-on-the-Wold and Upper Slaughter. Bourton-on-the-Water offers a unique country experience with a range of attractions providing something for everyone.

Day 4: Bourton-on-the-Water – Cirencester (~40 km)
This route includes a visit to Northleach, an old market town, and Bibury — described by artist William Morris as the most beautiful village in England — before continuing on to the historic market town of Cirencester.

Day 5: Cirencester – Cheltenham (~40 km)
You will cycle from Cirencester to Cheltenham visiting many of the pretty Cotswold villages along the way. Do not miss the Roman Villa at Chedworth — the most complete Roman villa in Britain with mosaic floors, bath houses, and a heating system all on display in their original settings.

Day 6: Cheltenham circular via Stanton (~51 km)
You will enjoy cycling from Cheltenham through a number of Cotswold villages including Stanton — also known as 'the perfect village' — Stanway with its romantic manor house, tithe barn, and fountain, and Winchcombe with the historic Sudeley Castle where Katherine Parr is buried. For tours with two or fewer people, this day may start with a heritage steam train ride to Broadway when trains are running.

Day 7: Free day in Cheltenham
A day to explore Cheltenham at your leisure — the town offers superb views of the Severn Vale, elegant Regency architecture, independent shopping, and a thriving food scene.

Day 8: Depart from Cheltenham
