How do I get back to Trier?
Regional trains run daily from Treis-Karden to Trier (approx. 56 minutes, no change). The ticket costs €25 per person and can be added at booking. Bikes travel free on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and all day on weekends and public holidays.
Why is early July the cheapest time?
The Moselle follows wine-country demand: spring and the late-summer harvest season are the busiest periods, while the first half of July is quieter — great value for savvy travellers.
Is the route hilly?
No — the cycle path stays flat along the river. The famous vineyards climb the hillsides, but you ride at water level.
Is half-board available?
No, demi-board is not offered on this tour. Breakfast is included and there are excellent riverside restaurants each evening.
When can I start?
Arrivals from Thursday to Monday, between April and September.
Can I have my own bike transported back?
Yes. If you bring your own bike, the operator can transport it back to Trier for €40 per bike. This works together with the return by train on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays: drop your bike at your last hotel by 17:00 the day before, it travels overnight and is ready for collection in Trier from approximately 11:00 the next day.
