🙋 Common questions
Who is this tour for?
Active cyclists who want to see the best of the Moselle between Trier and Koblenz in 5 days. The first two riding days are long (58 to 87 km depending on the variant), on a flat riverside path. Cycle buses run along the valley and can be used for support if needed (paid on site).
What type of accommodation is provided?
Good 3-star and 4-star hotels and inns, all with breakfast. No half-board option is offered on this tour.
How do I get back to Trier?
Regional trains run daily from Koblenz to Trier (approx. 84 minutes, no change). The ticket costs €25 per person and can be added at booking. Bikes travel free on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and all day on weekends and public holidays.
Can I rent a bike?
Yes. A trekking bike costs €90 and an e-bike €200 per stay (e-bike on request) — an e-bike makes the long stages much easier.
When can I start?
Arrivals from Friday to Monday, between 23 April and 26 September 2027.
Can I have my own bike transported back?
Yes. If you bring your own bike, the operator can transport it back to Trier for €40 per bike. This must be booked in advance — it cannot be purchased on site — and works together with the return by train on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays: drop your bike at your last hotel by 17:00 the day before, it travels overnight and is ready for collection in Trier from approximately 11:00 the next day. The operator accepts no liability for damage in transit. Rims wider than 5 cm are accepted on request only, insurance cover is up to €1,500, and all bikes must be pre-registered.
