German Moselle in Full Length: Perl to Koblenz

Day 1: Arrival in Perl
You will arrive in Perl, your gateway to the German Moselle. After settling into your 3-star hotel, you will collect your travel documents and rental bike (if booked). A free public car park sits conveniently near the hotel.

Day 2: Perl – Trier (46 km)
You will pedal through sun-drenched vineyards to Nennig, home to Germany's most important Roman mosaic, then pass through charming market towns — Grevenmacher, Oberbillig and Konz — before reaching Trier. A one-hour boat tour on the Moselle awaits you here. Overnight in a 4-star hotel.

Day 3: Trier – Trittenheim/Neumagen-Dhron (40–45 km)
You will ride alongside the Moselle, passing Schweich with its Old Ferry Tower and encountering traces of Roman history at every turn — Villa Rustika, a Roman water conduit, a Roman ship and a Roman winepress. The route threads through the sweeping Trittenheim Moselle bend before delivering you to your overnight stop. Overnight in a 3-star hotel.

Day 4: Trittenheim/Neumagen-Dhron – Traben-Trarbach (45–50 km)
Today the landscape will be defined by the Moselle's dramatic loops. You will cycle through picturesque vineyards to Bernkastel-Kues, where Landshut Castle rises on the hillside and beautiful half-timbered houses line the marketplace. The Moselle Wine Museum with its vinotheque is a treat for wine lovers. You will continue to Traben-Trarbach with its Grevenburg ruins and old town walls. Overnight in a 3-star hotel.

Day 5: Traben-Trarbach – Cochem (56 km)
You will pass through Bullay with its Roman settlements, Bremm with the Stuben monastery ruins, and Beilstein — known as the "Rothenburg on the Moselle" — with its Metternich castle ruins. The day ends in medieval Cochem, where the Reichsburg castle has watched over the Moselle since the year 1000 and the lovingly restored old town invites you to explore. Overnight in a 3-star hotel.

Day 6: Cochem – Koblenz (50 km)
After Moselkern, you may visit the stunning Eltz Castle. You will ride past Bischofstein Castle, Hatzenport with its ferry tower, and Thurant Castle before reaching the wine villages of Kobern-Gondorf and Güls. The final 6 km deliver you along the Moselle to the Deutsches Eck — the dramatic confluence of the Moselle and the Rhine — in the heart of Koblenz. Overnight in a 3- or 4-star hotel.

Day 7: Departure
Your tour ends after breakfast. You may extend your stay with additional nights or begin your journey home.
