Cycle the coast of the Basque Country and Cantabria from San Sebastián to Santander on this 8-day self-guided tour. You will ride past Basque fishing villages, the cliffs of Cantabria, and cross the Bay of Santander by boat, discovering San Sebastián's pintxos and Bilbao's Guggenheim along the way.
The GT20 is the Grande Traversée of Corsica. This northern version follows the GT20 on a north-west axis from Bastia to Calvi, crossing the wild Cap Corse peninsula, the sun-baked Désert des Agriates and the enchanting hilltop villages of the Balagne region.
Over five cycling stages, you will ride through landscapes that shift dramatically with every turn — from the rugged Genoese watchtowers and lobster ports of Cap Corse to the vineyard-clad hills of Patrimonio, the silent beauty of the Agriates interior and the villages of Sant'Antonino and Pigna. The journey ends in Calvi, where a magnificent Genoese citadel rises above an azure bay backed by the Monte Cinto massif.
With stages of 40–82 km depending on the route you choose, this tour is ideal for confident cyclists seeking a deep immersion into northern Corsica's extraordinary diversity of landscapes, flavours and history.

The heart of Corsica beats in its mountains — ancient forests of towering Lariccio pines, gorges lined with red cliffs, passes that open onto vast panoramas of lakes and peaks, and villages where time stands still. This central chapter of the GT20 takes you from the azure citadel of Calvi deep into the island's wild interior, through authentic, unspoilt landscapes between sea and mountains.
You will ride along the Gulf of Galéria, past the former pirate refuge of Girolata, through the UNESCO-listed Calanques de Piana with their otherworldly red rock formations, and into the majestic Aïtone forest before crossing the Vergio Pass — the highest point of the route. The journey ends in Corte, the historic former capital of Corsica, nestled in the heart of the island.

Eight days, five islands and a wooden gulet that follows you everywhere. You wake up in a different harbour almost every morning, roll your bike down the gangway and ride out into the Dodecanese: the Asclepion of Hippocrates on Kos, the knights' fortress above Agia Marina on Leros, the white alleys of Patmos, the sleepy lanes of Lipsi, the climbers' cliffs of Kalymnos. Distances are short and always finish near water, so most days end with a swim off the back of the boat and a shared dinner under the stars. Guides ride with you and the crew cooks on board, which means the only real decision you make each day is whether to pedal or stay on deck.
Cycle through Cantabria and Asturias on this 9-day self-guided cycling tour along Spain's Green Coast. You will ride past medieval villages, unspoilt beaches, and the foothills of the Picos de Europa, ending with a relaxing soak in the spa hotel of Puente Viesgo.
Start and finish in Pula, home of the Roman Arena and the Arch of the Sergii, on this 8-day self-guided loop of Istria. You ride 367 km along both coasts and through the green interior, to Rovinj, Poreč, Grožnjan, truffle town Buzet and Labin.
Start from the filters at the top of this page: country, number of days, difficulty and price. Most riders narrow it down in three moves — pick a country, set the daily distance you are comfortable with, then sort by price. Every tour card shows the operator, the total distance, the daily average and a difficulty rating out of five, so you compare like with like before opening a single tour page.
The price is per person in a double room and includes the hotels along the route with breakfast, daily luggage transfer between them, GPS tracks and route notes, and local support by phone during the trip. Bike rental, flights, lunches, dinners and city taxes are quoted separately — each tour page lists exactly what is in and what is out for that itinerary.
On self-guided tours, yes: you choose the departure date and the operator books the hotels in sequence around it. Availability is confirmed with the operator before you pay, so you are never committed to a date that does not exist. Guided group tours are the exception — they run on fixed departures, listed on their own pages.
On most of them. Where an e-bike is offered, the tour page shows it as a rental option with its own weekly price, usually €150-250 against €90-150 for a hybrid. On the flat river routes an e-bike is a comfort choice; on the alpine and Dolomite itineraries it is what turns a hard week into an enjoyable one.
Send a request from the tour page. We check the dates with the local operator who runs that itinerary and come back with a written quote covering hotels, bikes and extras. You book once the quote is confirmed — there is no instant checkout, because availability on self-guided routes is confirmed hotel by hotel.
The local operator named on the tour page. Lifeonabike is a marketplace: we publish and compare tours from 30+ operators across 20+ countries, and the operator you would have found locally is the one who books the hotels, moves the luggage and answers the phone during your trip.
