How does luggage transfer work?

Your luggage is moved between hotels on every transfer day, so you only carry what you need on the bike. Hybrid and e-bike rentals also include a 20-liter rear pannier and a small handlebar bag for daily essentials.

How do I reach the start and leave from the end?

You will reach Crêches-sur-Saône independently (Mâcon TGV station is the nearest large rail hub). On Day 6, a private transfer from Blacé to Lyon is included, where you can connect to onward trains or international flights.

Is navigation provided?

Yes. The roadbook is delivered through the ridewithgps app, which doubles as a GPS along the route. You will also receive the local representative's mobile number for assistance if anything goes wrong.

Short Description

A 6-day self-guided cycling tour through the heart of Beaujolais, one of France's most celebrated wine regions. From Crêches-sur-Saône, you will ride between Pouilly-Fuissé vines and the prehistoric Solutré rock, then follow the route south through Villié-Morgon and Blacé, immersed in the cru villages that give Beaujolais its name. You will sleep in 3-star hotels chosen for character and location, dine on regional cuisine, and let the roadbook on your phone guide you while your luggage moves ahead. A climb up Mont-Brouilly will reward you with one of the finest viewpoints in the region. On Day 6, a private transfer takes you to Lyon, France's capital of gastronomy.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Crêches-sur-Saône – Loop from Crêches
You will arrive in Crêches-sur-Saône at the time of your choice. Your bikes will be waiting at the hotel, and if you need help reading the roadbook, our local representative will run an orientation meeting over the phone. From there, you will set out on a loop ride through a scenic landscape checkered with vineyards: Saint-Vérand, Pouilly-Fuissé, and the unmistakable Solutré rock formation, famous as a prehistoric site of the Solutrean Paleolithic culture. You will spend the night at Château de la Barge.

Day 2: Crêches-sur-Saône – Villié-Morgon
After breakfast, you will leave the Saône valley and pedal south into Beaujolais, reaching the wine village of Villié-Morgon. You will check in at Hotel Noemys and enjoy dinner in town.

Day 3: Loop around Villié-Morgon
You will head south out of Villié-Morgon onto the Voie Verte du Beaujolais, an easy 15 km greenway winding through the idyllic countryside. The day's loop returns you to Hotel Noemys for a second night.

Day 4: Villié-Morgon – Blacé
Today's stage includes a climb up Mont-Brouilly (484 m / 1,450 ft.), offering one of the best viewpoints of the entire region. You will continue south through the cru villages of Beaujolais and check in at Le Savigny in Blacé for dinner.

Day 5: Loop around Blacé
You will spend the day exploring the southern Beaujolais on a loop ride from Blacé, returning in the evening to Le Savigny for a final dinner.

Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, take your time and prepare for the next part of your adventure. A private transfer from Blacé will bring you to Lyon, where your tour ends.

📋💸 Cancellation fees

Cancellations are subject to a fee:

• 0 € per person if done 90+ days before tour departure date

• 100 € per person if done 61–89 days before tour departure date

• 200 € per person if done 31–60 days before tour departure date

• 50% of the invoiced amount if cancellation occurs 15–30 days before departure date

• 75% of the invoiced amount if cancellation occurs 7–14 days before departure date

• 100% of the invoiced amount if cancellation occurs 6 days or less before departure date

In the event that Cyclomundo must cancel a tour, full refunds will be provided for the tour package. SARL Cyclomundo is not responsible for any additional charges such as non-refundable airline tickets.

Changes/Modification fees: 35 € for any change request up to 31 days before arrival; 60 € for any changes done between 7 and 30 days before arrival. Changes within 6 days or less before departure are not possible.
