Short Description

An exhilarating circular ride at the foot of the Dolomites, UNESCO World Heritage giants of stone and light. From the Alta Val Pusteria you will pedal past the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo to Cortina d'Ampezzo, descend through the old Dolomite railway tunnels to Feltre, climb the Valsugana to Trento, then follow the Adige north through Bolzano and Bressanone back to your starting point — 385 to 410 km of legendary mountain scenery.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Alta Pusteria (Villabassa or Dobbiaco)
Individual arrival at your hotel in Alta Pusteria. Free unguarded parking is available near the hotel.

Day 2: Alta Pusteria – Cortina d'Ampezzo – Pieve di Cadore (approx. 65 km)
You will set off from Alta Pusteria amid the spectacular Dolomite scenery, with the Tre Cime Nature Park on one side and the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Park on the other. The route follows the former Dolomite railway line, offering extraordinary views of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Crossing into the Veneto, you will reach Cortina d'Ampezzo, the legendary Olympic mountain town, before continuing through alpine tunnels and forests to Pieve di Cadore.

Day 3: Pieve di Cadore – Feltre (approx. 75 km)
Leaving Pieve di Cadore, you will ride south through Longarone — rebuilt after the 1963 Vajont disaster — and on to the quiet provincial capital of Belluno. The route continues through woods and picturesque villages to Feltre, a town of historic charm with the Dolomites still forming a magnificent backdrop.

Day 4: Feltre – Trento (approx. 95 km, or approx. 70 km + train, ticket not included)
From Feltre, on the ancient Via Claudia Augusta, you will ride north up the Valsugana. Lake Caldonazzo, the largest natural lake in Trentino, invites a stop along the way. A train shortcut is possible for those who wish. The stage ends in Trento, with its rich old town and the imposing Buonconsiglio Castle.

Day 5: Trento – Bolzano (approx. 65 km)
The Adige cycle path carries you north through lush vineyards and fruit orchards. At the Salorno Gorge you will cross the linguistic border between Italian-speaking Trentino and German-speaking South Tyrol, arriving in Bolzano, the cultural and commercial heart of Alto Adige.

Day 6: Bolzano – Bressanone (approx. 45 km)
From Bolzano's arcaded streets and the famous Ötzi Museum, you will follow the Isarco cycle path past the Trostburg Castle and the hilltop Säben Monastery above Chiusa. The ride continues gently through vineyards and alpine meadows to Bressanone, with its elegant arcaded old town and majestic cathedral.

Day 7: Bressanone – Alta Pusteria (approx. 65 km)
Riding north along the Isarco and then the Rienza, you will pass the Franzensfeste Fortress, the Novacella Abbey, and the ruins of the Rio di Pusteria gorge before entering the green Val Pusteria. A stop in Brunico's lively pedestrian centre is recommended before the final kilometres back to Alta Pusteria.

Day 8: Departure from Dobbiaco/Villabassa
Individual departure or possibility to extend your stay.
