• How fit do I need to be?

  

  This tour follows the Danube Cycle Path with daily distances of 40–67 km. It suits anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. An e-bike is available on request if you want extra comfort.

• What type of bike should I choose?

  

  You can bring your own bike or rent a bike or an e-bike (on request) for the entire trip; prices are shown on this page. Rental bikes are waiting at your hotel in Passau on arrival day.

• How does the last day to Vienna work?

  

  On Day 6 you ride via Krems to Tulln, return the rental bikes there and take the train to Vienna (half-hourly, approx. €10.80 per person, paid on site). If you prefer, the active version continues by bike through the Vienna Woods past Klosterneuburg (+37 km).

• How do I get back to Passau from Vienna?

  

  A passenger return transfer can be booked for €46 per person: by bus every Saturday from May to October and every Sunday from May to June, arriving in Passau around 1:30 p.m.; on the other days by direct train (every two hours, 2nd class). Your own bike can travel back for €40 (with the bus, or overnight for train returns on Friday, Sunday and Monday).

• Is luggage transfer included?

  

  Yes. Your bags are picked up at 9:00 each day and delivered to your next hotel by around 6:30 p.m.

• Are meals included?

  

  Breakfast is included daily. This budget tour has no half-board option, so you are free to choose restaurants along the way.

• Can I bring children?

  

  Yes. Children 0–6 ride free, ages 7–11 receive a 50% discount, and ages 12–15 get 25% off (one child per double room with two full-paying adults).

• When can I start?

  

  Arrivals on Saturdays and Sundays from May to October, plus selected Fridays in May. High season runs from early July to mid-September (except the last week of July); early May and October are the most affordable.
