Cycle the legendary Danube path from Passau to Vienna in 7 days. This budget-friendly route follows the river through the Schlögener Schlinge, the Wachau wine region, and historic towns — all with luggage transfer and 3-4★ hotels included.

Tour Program

Day 1 — Arrival in Passau
You will arrive in Passau and collect your travel documents and rental bike. Explore the historic centre, St. Stephan's Cathedral, and the famous confluence of three rivers at your leisure.

Day 2 — Passau → Wesenufer/Schlögen (40–60 km)
You will ride from Passau via Obernzell past the Jochenstein power station and Engelhartszell, home to a Trappist monastery, following the riverbank to Wesenufer or Schlögen.

Day 3 — Wesenufer/Schlögen → Linz (30–56 km)
You will cycle through the spectacular Schlögener Schlinge gorge, past the Baroque market town of Aschach, through the Eferding basin, and via Wilhering's rococo church to the Upper Austrian capital Linz.

Day 4 — Linz → Ardagger/Bad Kreuzen (56–66 km)
You will follow the left bank of the Danube, passing through Mauthausen on your way to Ardagger or Bad Kreuzen.

Day 5 — Ardagger/Bad Kreuzen → Spitz/Arnsdorf (67 km)
You will ride to Marbach and continue to Melk Abbey, then pedal through the lovely vineyards of the Wachau to Spitz or Arnsdorf.

Day 6 — Spitz/Arnsdorf → Vienna (59 km)
You will cycle to the thousand-year-old city of Krems, then on to the flower city of Tulln. From there you will take a short train ride to Vienna (or add 37 km through the Vienna Woods via Klosterneuburg).

Day 7 — Departure
You will enjoy breakfast and depart, or extend your stay with extra nights in Vienna.
