Carinthian Lakes Round Trip from Villach

Day 1 — Arrival in Villach
Settle into your 3- or 4-star hotel in Villach, the start and finish of your round tour. Your rental bike (if booked) is waiting at the hotel. Free public parking is available at the Willroider car park (subject to availability); alternatively the Contipark underground garage (approx. €12 per 24 h) or, where available, parking at the hotel, payable on site.

Day 2 — Round Tour Lake Ossiach (52 km)
Follow the Drau cycle path downstream to the Red Bridge, then loop around Lake Ossiach through postcard-perfect scenery. Stop at the former Benedictine monastery of Ossiach to admire its baroque collegiate church. Overnight in Villach as the night before.

Day 3 — Ferlach / Unterbergen (52 km)
Pedal past the Silbersee to Rosegg, with its castle, zoo and Celtic world. Glide through the enchanting Rosental — one of Carinthia's most beautiful valleys — via Feistritz and the Ferlach reservoir to the "gunsmith town" of Ferlach.

Day 4 — Lake Klopein (29 km)
A shorter stage along the Drau through the Guntschacher Au bird sanctuary to the Annabrücke power station, then via Stein im Jauntal past the Kleinsee to Lake Klopein, Europe's warmest bathing lake. Active option: extend via the Völkermarkt reservoir (+18 km).

Day 5 — Klagenfurt / Krumpendorf (38 km)
Cycle through the tranquil Jaun Valley past Grafenstein and its castle to Klagenfurt, the "Rose of Lake Wörthersee", with its unmistakable southern flair.

Day 6 — Back to Villach (40 km)
Ride the lakeshore path along Wörthersee to Pörtschach for panoramic views framed by the Karawanken mountains. Continue via Saag and Velden back to Villach.

Day 7 — Departure
End of the tour after breakfast. No return transfer needed: you finish where you started. Extend your stay or head home.
