Short Description

Cycle from Nauders to Verona via Lake Garda and the Mincio River in 8 days. A boat ride across the lake and a visit to Mantua make this the most scenic Adige route. From €734 pp.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Nauders
You will arrive in the charming Austrian village of Nauders near the Reschen Pass. You will receive your travel documents at the hotel and collect rental bikes at the Donau Touristik info point, where free unguarded parking is available. Overnight in the 4-star Hotel Erika or equivalent.

Day 2: Nauders – Schlanders (55 km)
You will ride with a slight incline to Lake Reschen, then along the picturesque shoreline to the Marienberg monastery. From there, the route heads downhill through Laatsch, Glurns and on to the beautiful holiday resort of Schlanders. Overnight in a 3-star hotel.

Day 3: Schlanders – Bolzano (69 km)
You will pass well-tended apple orchards on the way to Merano, then continue to the Adige-Eisack confluence near Sigmundskron Castle and on to Bolzano. The terrain is continuously flat to slightly downhill. Overnight in a 3- or 4-star hotel.

Day 4: Bolzano – Trento (65 km)
You will cycle along the Adige River through the Salurner Klause and San Michele all'Adige to the centre of the ancient council city of Trento. Overnight in a 3- or 4-star hotel.

Day 5: Trento – Arco/Riva del Garda (51 km)
You will ride along the Adige Cycle Path to Rovereto, via Mori and the former Lago di Loppio to your destination on the northern shore of Lake Garda. Overnight in a 3- or 4-star hotel in Riva or in the enchanting town of Arco.

Day 6: Riva – Peschiera del Garda (34 km bike + 4 hours boat)
You will board a boat in Riva for a scenic cruise across Lake Garda to the town of Garda (included). From there, you cycle to nearby Peschiera del Garda on the southern shore. Overnight in a 3-star hotel.

Day 7: Peschiera – Mantua – Verona (44 km bike + 48 min train)
You will ride the Mincio cycling path through gentle countryside to the magnificent Renaissance city of Mantua. From Mantua, a train (runs hourly, bike ticket payable on the spot) takes you to Verona. Overnight in a 4-star hotel.

Day 8: Departure
Your tour ends after breakfast. You may journey home or extend your stay with additional nights.
