Can I attend the opera at the Arena di Verona?

Yes. Arena tickets for unnumbered stone steps (Gradinata) are available as a surcharge of €42 per person. The opera season runs from 12 June to 12 September. Tickets are collected at door 7.

How do I get back to Nauders?

Short Description

The classic Adige cycle tour from Austria to Verona in 8 days. Ride through South Tyrol, past Lake Garda to the city of Romeo and Juliet — mostly downhill. From €639 pp.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Nauders
You will arrive in the charming Austrian village of Nauders near the Reschen Pass. You will receive your travel documents at the hotel and collect rental bikes at the Donau Touristik info point, where free unguarded parking is available. Overnight in the 3-star Gasthof Martha or equivalent.

Day 2: Nauders – Schlanders/Naturns (55-77 km)
You will ride with a slight incline to Lake Reschen, passing the famous submerged church tower. Along the picturesque shoreline to the Marienberg monastery, then downhill through Laatsch, Glurns and on to Schlanders or Naturns. Overnight in a 3-star hotel.

Day 3: Schlanders/Naturns – Bolzano (49-69 km)
You will pass Merano and Nals, reaching the confluence of the Adige and Eisack rivers. Beautiful cycle paths lead you into the town of arcades, Bolzano. Overnight in a 3- or 4-star hotel.

Day 4: Bolzano – Trento (65 km)
You will cycle along the Adige River to Neumarkt-Auer and the Salurner Klause, then through San Michele all'Adige to the centre of the historic council town of Trento, with its cathedral, castle, Neptune fountain and picturesque townscape. Overnight in a 3- or 4-star hotel.

Day 5: Trento – Arco/Riva del Garda (51 km)
You will stay on the Adige Cycle Path through vineyards to Rovereto with its charming centre, then through Mori and Loppio. The route climbs slightly to San Giovanni before descending via Torbole to Lake Garda and Riva or Arco. Overnight in a 3-star hotel.

Day 6: Arco/Riva – Cavaion Veronese/Affi (58 km bike + 10 min bus)
A short bus transfer takes you to San Giovanni, from where you continue on flat to slightly downhill terrain along the Adige cycle path to Belluno-Veronese. After a short climb you reach Rivoli Veronese and on to Cavaion Veronese or Affi. Overnight in a 3-star hotel.

Day 7: Cavaion Veronese/Affi – Verona (24 km)
You will ride along the Canale Cammuzoni/Biffis, a former irrigation system for the fortresses of Verona and Mantua. The cycle path offers stunning views over the Adige to the first cyclist observation tower, then on through Bussolengo to the centre of Verona. Overnight in a 4-star hotel.

Day 8: Departure
Your tour ends after breakfast. You may journey home or extend your stay with additional nights.
