A bus transfer from Riva/Arco back to Nauders runs on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the full season, with Thursdays added from May to June and in September. It arrives in Nauders at about 2 p.m. and must be pre-booked. If you bring your own bike, optional return transport for the bike costs EUR 40 (to be booked in advance).

Are rental bikes available?

Yes. Rental bikes and e-bikes (on request) can be reserved in advance and are handed out at the tour info point in Nauders. Prices for each bike option are shown on this page.

Short Description

You'll follow the Adige Cycle Path from the Reschen Pass to the Mediterranean ambience of Lake Garda's northern shore. Pedal through well-tended orchards and wine landscapes, past Dornsberg and Sigmundskron castles, the spa town of Meran and Bozen with its famous arcades, all the way to Riva and Arco.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Nauders
Your cycling adventure begins in Nauders, near the Reschen Pass. Collect your travel documents at the hotel and your rental bike (if booked) at the tour info point, where unguarded parking is included, then settle into your 3-star inn for the night.

Day 2: Nauders – Schlanders/Naturns (55–77 km)
A gentle climb of about 5 km brings you from the hotel to Lake Reschen. Follow the picturesque lake to Marienberg Monastery, then ride downhill to Laatsch, Glurns and on to Schlanders or Naturns.

Day 3: Schlanders/Naturns – Meran (16–38 km)
Ride through well-tended orchards and past Dornsberg Castle into the spa town of Meran.

Day 4: Meran – Bozen (33 km)
Vineyards line your route to Sigmundskron Castle, and the cycle path leads you into the centre of Bozen with its famous arcades.

Day 5: Bozen – Trento (65 km)
Always following the Adige, you will reach the Salurner Klause and San Michele all'Adige, then continue on bike paths straight into the centre of Trento, the old council city.

Day 6: Trento – Arco/Riva del Garda (51 km)
From Trento the picturesque Adige cycle path leads to Rovereto's old town and monuments, then via Mori and the former Lago di Loppio and a slight climb to San Giovanni. You reach Lake Garda at Torbole and continue to Riva or enchanting Arco, 5 flat km from the lake, where you stay in a 3- or 4-star hotel.

Day 7: Departure
End of tour. Individual journey home or extend your stay with additional nights by the lake.
