8-Day Dalmatia National Parks Bike & Boat Cruise | Plus
Dalmatia
Short Description
Eight days between the deck of a comfortable motor yacht and the quiet roads of the Dalmatian islands. You sleep on board and wake up in a different bay every morning, then ride out with your guide through Murter, Dugi Otok, Ugljan and Pašman, along dry stone walls, pine woods and villages of pale stone. In between there are the great set pieces of the Croatian coast: the archipelago of Kornati seen from the water, the white cliffs of Telašćica, the terraced waterfalls of Krka, the Roman streets of Zadar and Šibenik, and the medieval heart of Trogir. Swimming stops straight from the boat are part of the rhythm, and the chef takes care of breakfast and most of the meals. It is a guided tour with a real cycling content - around 205 km over six riding days on rolling, sometimes hilly terrain - but you are always free to skip a stage and stay on board.

🙋 Common questions
How demanding is the cycling?
This is a level 3 out of 5 tour. You ride through hilly terrain with climbs of up to roughly 400 metres, on stages of 27 to 45 km and 100 to 600 metres of elevation gain per day. It suits people who cycle regularly and are comfortable on varying surfaces. With electric assistance every stage, climbs included, becomes comfortable.
Are the rides guided?
Yes, this is a guided group tour and the guide cycles with you. If you prefer, you can arrange with the guides to ride part of the route on your own along suggested alternatives, or take a half day or a full day off to swim and stay on board.
What are the roads like?
Dalmatia has no dedicated cycle paths, so you ride on public roads, mostly asphalted and chosen among the quieter side roads. Expect some traffic in and around the coastal towns and on parts of the island of Pašman. Outside the high season the roads are very quiet.
Can I rent a bike?
Yes. E-bikes and gravel or road bikes are available for the week and should be booked in advance. Anyone renting an e-bike should already be confident handling one, as they are heavier and faster than a normal bike. The minimum height for a rental e-bike is 1.50 m.
Do I need a helmet?
Yes, helmets are compulsory on every ride. We strongly recommend bringing your own well-fitted helmet; a limited number of rental helmets is available on board and should be reserved in advance.
What about meals?
The on-board chef is part of the crew and prepares breakfast and one or two hot meals a day. Catering runs from dinner on arrival day to breakfast on departure day, and consists of two days of full board and five of half board.
What language is the tour in?
Because of the international mix of guests, the tour is run bilingually in English and German.
Can children join?
Children from the age of 10 with good fitness and previous bike touring experience can take part. Follow-me bikes, child seats and tow bars can be hired for younger children.
Can the itinerary change?
Yes. Routes and overnight stops may be adjusted for wind, weather or operational reasons, and the week is sometimes run in the opposite direction.
