🙋 Common questions
How much does the South Dalmatia PLUS bike and boat tour cost?
Prices start from €2,049 per person for the eight-day tour in 2027, based on a twin cabin below deck. The rate covers seven nights on board, two full-board and five half-board days, guided cycling and an English-speaking guide. Tourist taxes and the basic drink package cost €80 per person, paid to the captain.
When is the best season to cycle in South Dalmatia?
Departures run from mid-April to early October, and the shoulder months are the most comfortable for cycling. April, May and late September bring mild temperatures on the climbs of Korčula and Brač. High summer is hotter but perfect for swimming from the deck, and several July and August departures sit at the lower end of the price range.
How difficult is the cycling on the South Dalmatia PLUS tour?
Boat Bike Tours rates this tour difficulty level 4 out of 5. Daily stages range from roughly 19 to 60 kilometres on Dalmatian islands, where the terrain is rolling to hilly with limestone climbs and descents. A reasonable level of fitness and regular cycling help. Rental e-bikes are available on board and unlimited on Plus departures.
Which islands does the South Dalmatia PLUS tour visit?
The route covers five islands: Vis, Korčula, Hvar, Brač and Šolta, plus the mainland town of Omiš. You cycle on each of them and sleep in harbours including Milna, Vela Luka, Korčula town, Stari Grad and Postira. The tour starts and ends in Trogir, itself a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Which ship is used for the South Dalmatia PLUS tour in Croatia?
The tour sails on the Magellan, an elegant motor yacht. Boat Bike Tours runs this route with motor yachts carrying a maximum of 34 passengers. Cabins are twin, below deck, with private shower and toilet, and bed linen and towels are provided. Daily cabin cleaning is one of the Plus-tour specials.
Is the South Dalmatia PLUS tour guided or self-guided?
This is a guided tour. An English-speaking tour guide leads the cycling on every stage, exactly as described in the itinerary, and a guided city tour of Stari Grad is included on day four. Overview maps of the daily routes are handed out on board, so you always know the shape of the day.
What is included in the South Dalmatia PLUS price and what is not?
The price covers seven nights in a twin cabin, two full-board and five half-board days, bed linen and towels, guided cycling with an English-speaking guide, daily cabin cleaning and route maps. Bike and helmet rental, transfers to Trogir, tourist taxes, the drink package, entrance fees, meals ashore and Cetina rafting are extra.
Does the South Dalmatia itinerary ever run in reverse?
Yes. Boat Bike Tours reserves the right to run the programme in reverse order depending on wind and weather in the Adriatic. It stays a round trip: you always board and disembark in Trogir, and the same five islands are visited. Only the sequence of the daily stages may change.
