Pearls of Dalmatia Dubrovnik to Trogir

Day 1: Dubrovnik (Embarkation)
You will arrive individually in Dubrovnik. Check-in on board starts between 2 and 2.30 p.m. at Gruž, the town port. At about 4.30 p.m. there is the opportunity to join a guided tour through Dubrovnik, taking in the history of the city and its most impressive sites. The boat spends the night in Gruž, so the evening is yours if you want to see something of Dubrovnik after dark.

Day 2: Dubrovnik – Island of Šipan – Island of Mljet (11 or 41 km)
In the morning the ship crosses to the nearby island of Šipan, the largest of the Elaphiti islands and still a modest one. It makes a gentle first ride and a good way to get used to riding in a group. Back on board, the cruise continues to the green island of Mljet, whose surface is more than seventy per cent woodland, the most forested island in the Mediterranean. Homer made it the home of the nymph Calypso, who kept Odysseus here for seven years. You will arrive in the harbour of Pomena and ride a round tour through Mljet National Park. The night is spent in Pomena.

Day 3: Islands of Lastovo and Korčula: Korčula Town (28 km)
In the morning the ship takes you to Lastovo, one of the smaller inhabited islands of the Adriatic. The Emperor Augustus appreciated its mild climate, and in Roman times it was named Augusta Insula after him. Today's ride crosses the island, where the gold-coloured white wine Marastina is grown. Back on board, a crossing brings you to Korčula, regarded as one of the most beautiful islands in Dalmatia. Korčula town competes with Venice for the honour of being the birthplace of Marco Polo. You will spend the night here and join a guided city tour full of anecdotes about the history of the town and the island.

Day 4: Island of Korčula: Korčula Town – Vela Luka (60 km)
The longest ride of the week leads the length of Korčula, through a mild Mediterranean climate and a broad variety of landscapes. Take your time, and stop for the view over the deep blue sea and the neighbouring islands. Dinner is served on board, and the night is spent in the sheltered bay of Vela Luka.

Day 5: Island of Hvar: Hvar Town – Stari Grad (22 km)
The day starts with a relaxing cruise to Hvar town. Use the time before the ride to stroll through the town: standing on the Renaissance square you can look up to the Spanish fortress that towers above it. Today's stage takes you from Hvar through small villages and lavender fields to Stari Grad, on the opposite side of the island, and the descent to Stari Grad opens up long views. You will board for lunch, and the afternoon is free to explore the artists' town, its galleries and its museums. The night is spent in Stari Grad.

Day 6: Hvar Island: Stari Grad – Jelsa – Stari Grad – Island of Brač (22 km)
In the morning you will ride a scenic loop from Stari Grad to the harbour of Jelsa and back. Jelsa is the right place for an ice cream and a coffee, and on the way back you pass through the picturesque town of Vrboska and cross the ancient Greek plain, now a protected UNESCO site. Back in Stari Grad you board for lunch and cruise to Brač, the island of the radiant limestone used, among others, for the White House in Washington and for the Reichstag building in Berlin. There is time for a swim stop straight from the boat before you reach the harbour town of Milna, where you spend the afternoon and evening.

Day 7: Island of Brač: Milna – Postira | Postira – Trogir (30 km)
Today's ride follows the northern coastline of Brač from Milna to Postira, with long views across the Dalmatian islands and over to the mainland. Then comes the last crossing of an eventful week, towards the UNESCO World Heritage town of Trogir. A guided city tour in the afternoon will take you through its intricate history, and a cheerful evening meal on board closes the week with your fellow travellers and the tour guides.

Day 8: Trogir (Disembarkation)
End of your tour: disembarkation after breakfast, until 9 a.m., followed by your individual journey home or an extended stay in Croatia.
