Short Description

A Slovenia cycling tour through spa and wine country, from historic Ptuj to Moravske Toplice. You will ride past rolling vineyards and quiet rivers, taste Styrian wines and soak in warm thermal pools every evening.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Ptuj
You will arrive in Ptuj, Slovenia's oldest town, where a castle rises above red rooftops, the Drava River and the vineyards beyond. Wander the winding lanes, lined with small cafés, galleries and wine bars. In the evening, the warm thermal waters of the town's spa are waiting to ease you into the week.

Day 2: Ptuj – Maribor – Ptuj (approx. 60 km)
Today you will follow the Drava Cycle Path to Maribor, Slovenia's second city and the heart of Slovenian-Styrian wine culture. Its lively old town opens onto squares and street cafés. Beside the river grows the oldest grapevine in the world, the Stara trta. On the ride back to Ptuj, wineries along the way invite you to stop for a glass.

Day 3: Ptuj – Radenci (approx. 52 km)
Gently rolling countryside carries you past wide fields, small wine villages and quiet river valleys. This is the land of pumpkin seed oil, hearty cooking and warm hospitality. As you near Radenci, the pace slows. The spa town, known for its natural mineral water and long bathing tradition, sits among parks and soft hills – the right place to unwind after the ride.

Day 4: Radenci – Bad Radkersburg – Radenci (approx. 52 km)
You will cross into Austria on the Mur Cycle Path and explore the Styrian thermal and volcanic region around Bad Radkersburg. Baroque houses and cosy cafés fill the historic centre. In the traditional wine taverns, you can taste Styrian white wines and regional specialities before pedalling back to Radenci.

Day 5: Radenci – Moravske Toplice (approx. 50 km)
Heading east, you will ride into the Prekmurje region, where the landscape opens up, wide and quiet. A flat, well-built cycle path rolls you comfortably to Moravske Toplice. The town is known for its black thermal mineral water and a modern spa complex – a fine reward at the end of the day.

Day 6: Round trip to Hungary (approx. 55 km)
Today's loop takes you over the border into Hungary. You can browse a local pottery for souvenirs and learn about the craft. Back on Slovenian soil, you will pause at the Bukovnica Reservoir, where 50 spots are said to have soothing and healing properties. Then it is back to Moravske Toplice for one last soak.

Day 7: Departure from Moravske Toplice
Your cycling week ends after breakfast. Head home at your own pace, or extend your stay and enjoy the thermal waters a little longer.

The Customer may withdraw from the contract (cancel) at any time prior to commencement of the tour. Cancellation must be effected in writing. In the event of cancellation or no-show the following cancellation fees shall become due in relation to the tour price:

Up to the 28th day prior to departure 20%, however at least 50.- euros per person.

From the 27th day until the 14th day prior to departure 30%.

From the 13th day until the 8th day prior to departure 50%.

From the 7th until the 4th day prior to departure 70%.

From the 3rd day or with no-show for the tour 90%.
