Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Bregenz
You will arrive in the festival city of Bregenz on the shores of Lake Constance. After collecting your travel documents and rental bike at the info point, you will have time to explore the lakeside promenade and the upper old town with its panoramic views across the lake to the Swiss Alps.

Day 2: Bregenz – Horn (36 km)
You will cycle through the lakeside parks past the famous festival theatre and floating stage. The route continues past Mehrerau, the only active monastery on Austria’s Lake Constance, and through numerous bathing spots along the shore to the Bregenzer Ache. You will ride through the Altenrhein nature reserve to your destination in Horn.

Day 3: Horn – Stein am Rhein (45 km cycling + boat)
You will follow the lakeshore via Güttingen to Kreuzlingen, then board a boat across to Steckborn. From there you will cycle along the Untersee to Stein am Rhein, a medieval gem famous for its magnificently painted house facades. A regional Knusperli specialty meal awaits you in the evening.

Day 4: Stein am Rhein – Moos/Radolfzell (49 km cycling + train)
You will follow the Rhine Cycle Path to Schaffhausen with its Munot Fortress and on to Europe’s largest waterfall, the Rhine Falls, complete with a thrilling boat trip. A short train ride takes you back to Stein am Rhein, from where you will cycle across the scenic Höri Peninsula to Moos or Radolfzell.

Day 5: Moos/Radolfzell – Constance (33 km)
You will ride via Allensbach to the monastery island of Reichenau for an island tour, then continue to the historic Council City of Constance. An ice cream break is included as you explore the atmospheric old town and Niederburg district.

Day 6: Constance – Mainau Island excursion (14 km)
You will enjoy a leisurely day with a visit to the world-famous Mainau Island, the flower island of Lake Constance. Entrance is included, giving you ample time to wander through the tropical gardens, rose collections and butterfly house.

Day 7: Constance – Friedrichshafen (25–35 km + ferry)
You will take the ferry from Konstanz-Staad across to medieval Meersburg, home to Germany’s oldest inhabited castle. The route continues via Hagnau, where a wine tasting of three local varieties is included, and on through Immenstaad to Friedrichshafen.

Day 8: Friedrichshafen – Bregenz (35 km)
You will cycle through the Argenmündung nature reserve to Lindau, the charming island town, where a coffee and cake break awaits. From Lindau you will ride back to Bregenz, completing the full circle of the lake.

Day 9: Departure from Bregenz
Your tour ends after breakfast. You may extend your stay with additional nights or begin your journey home.
