What type of bike should I choose?

You can bring your own bike or rent a trekking bike (€90) or an e-bike (€200) for the entire trip. Rental bikes are collected at Hotel Föhr in Friedrichshafen.

Do I need a passport?

You will cross from Germany into Austria and Switzerland. EU citizens need a valid ID card; other nationalities should check visa requirements for all three countries.

Is the ferry crossing included?

Yes. The ferry from Constance/Staad to Meersburg — including your bike — is included in the tour price.

Is luggage transfer included?

Yes. Your bags are picked up at 9:00 AM and delivered to your next hotel by 6:30 PM.

Breakfast is included daily. Half-board is not available on this tour. An ice cream break in Constance is included.

Can I bring children?

Yes. Children 0–6 ride free, ages 7–11 get 50% off, and ages 12–15 receive a 25% discount (one child per double room with two full-paying adults).

Are there any blocked dates?

Tour arrivals on 25–26 June (jumble sale in Constance) and 5–6 August (Lake Night Festival in Constance) are not available.

Short Description

Circle Lake Constance in 6 days starting from Friedrichshafen, pedalling through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Flat lakeside paths lead you past Bregenz, the Höri peninsula, Stein am Rhein, and Reichenau island — ferry and ice cream included.

Tour Program

Day 1 — Arrival in Friedrichshafen
You will arrive in Friedrichshafen and collect your travel documents and rental bike at Hotel Föhr. Explore the Zeppelin city on the German shore of Lake Constance.

Day 2 — Friedrichshafen → St. Margrethen/Lustenau (48 km)
You will ride through the Argenmündung nature reserve and along the lakeshore into the Austrian festival city of Bregenz, then continue to your overnight stop near the Swiss border.

Day 3 — St. Margrethen/Lustenau → Constance/Kreuzlingen (49 km)
You will follow the Swiss shore via Romanshorn and Güttingen to the historic Council City of Constance, where your complimentary ice cream break awaits. Optional detour to Mainau island.

Day 4 — Constance → Moos/Radolfzell (50 km)
You will ride along the Untersee to the medieval gem of Stein am Rhein, then cross the picturesque Höri peninsula to Moos or Radolfzell. Optional excursion to the Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen.

Day 5 — Moos/Radolfzell → Friedrichshafen (45 km + ferry)
You will cycle to Allensbach, past the UNESCO-listed monastery island of Reichenau, to Constance/Staad. The included ferry crosses to Meersburg, and you will ride back to Friedrichshafen along the German shore.

Day 6 — Departure
You will enjoy breakfast and depart, or extend your stay with extra nights in Friedrichshafen.
