Is this tour suitable for children?
Absolutely. This family tour combines short cycling stages along the Danube with boat and train rides and many family tips along the way. Daily distances range from 18 to 40 km. Children's bikes in various sizes are available upon request.
What are the daily cycling distances?
Stages range from 18 to 40 km per day, with a 25 km circular tour from Schlögen on Day 3. Day 5 offers a flexible route of 20 to 38 km depending on your family's energy level, with the return to Linz by train.
How does the return transfer work?
The return train journey from Linz to Passau is included in the tour price. Direct trains run every two hours in 2nd class. Please note that own bikes with a rim width of more than 5 cm can only be taken on request, and own bikes should be registered in advance, otherwise return transport may not be possible.
What type of accommodation is provided?
You will stay in quality 3-star hotels along the route and a 4-star hotel in Linz. All hotels include a daily breakfast buffet or a large, extended breakfast.
Is luggage transport included?
Yes. Your luggage is collected each morning by 9:00 a.m. and delivered to your next hotel by approximately 6:30 p.m., so you can ride with just a daypack.
Can we rent bikes?
Trekking bikes and children's bikes are available as a supplement. E-bikes can be requested as well. All rentals are for the full duration of the stay.
What is the best time to visit?
The tour runs from mid-June to early October, with high season from mid-June to mid-September and low season from mid-September to early October.
Are meals included?
Breakfast is included each morning. Half board can be added as a supplement. Lunches and other meals are at your own expense.

• Up to 84 days before the departure date: 20% penalty of the total package
• 83 to 42 days before the departure date: 50% penalty of the total package
• 41 to 28 days before the departure date: 70% penalty of the total package
• 27 to 15 days before the departure date: 80% penalty of the total package
• 14 to 0 days before the departure date: 90% penalty of the total package
