This tour is rated level 1.5. Routes are mostly flat through the Umbrian Valley with daily distances between 35 and 50 km. The only notable climb is the short ascent to Assisi. An e-bike option is available.
What type of bike is provided?
Hybrid trekking bikes (Bottecchia or Trubbiani) with 3×8/9 gears, panniers, lock, odometer, spare tube, and pump are included. E-bikes with Bafang or Bosch motors and 625–630 Wh batteries are available as an upgrade.
Is luggage transported between hotels?
Yes, your bags are moved from hotel to hotel each day so you ride with only a handlebar bag.
When is the best time to do this tour?
The tour runs from April through October. Spring offers wildflowers and mild temperatures; autumn brings harvest colours and wine-tasting opportunities.
How do I get to Spello?
Spello has a train station on the Foligno–Perugia line with connections from Rome (approx. 2 hours) and Florence. Free public parking is available near the hotel.
