Short Description
Eight days on a small premium ship from Soissons back to Lagny-sur-Marne, with Paris saved for the end of the week. You cycle flat routes along the Aisne, the Oise, the Seine and the Marne, with a tour leader riding with you every day, and come back each evening to the same cabin. Pierrefonds, Chantilly and Auvers-sur-Oise are on the way, and the ship moors in the centre of Paris before the final stage.

🙋 Common questions
Is the e-bike included in the price?
No. The tour is run on e-bikes and the rental is charged separately, and its price is shown on this page. You also cannot bring your own bicycle or e-bike, because there is no space for it on deck. In practice everyone on board rides a rental e-bike, so plan for the rental on top of the tour price.
How hard is the cycling?
Difficulty level 2 on the operator's scale: mostly flat, on river paths and quiet roads. Daily distances on the short route run from 15 to 46 km. On most days the tour leader offers a longer and a shorter option, so you can choose in the morning.
Is the cycling guided?
Yes. A multilingual tour leader cycles with the group every day and explains what you pass. From 18 guests on board the group is split in two, each with its own leader. There are also some short walking tours.
Which meals are on board?
Seven breakfasts, packed lunches for the cycling days and six three-course dinners. On the Paris evening no dinner is served on board, so you eat in the city. Coffee and tea are free on board 24/7; other drinks are charged.
How do I reach the start and get home?
Soissons is about 1 hour 15 minutes by train from Paris Gare du Nord. Lagny-sur-Marne is about 30 minutes from Paris Gare de l'Est. Tickets and timetables are on sncf-connect. Transfers to and from the ship are not part of the tour.
What is the ship like?
Clair d'Etoile, a premium ship with 12 cabins and a maximum of 24 guests. Cabins have individually controlled air conditioning, bed linen and towels are provided and the cabin is cleaned daily. There is a spacious sundeck and Wi-Fi on board.
