Tour Program

Day 1 — Welcome to Fontainebleau
Arrive at your hotel near Fontainebleau and collect your roadbook and bikes. Discover the gateway to the royal Paris countryside — just a short train ride from the capital, yet a world away in its greenery and calm.

Day 2 — Vaux-le-Vicomte, Blandy & Fontainebleau | 57 km · ↑ 260 m
Ride to the stunning Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte with its immaculate French gardens, then through Melun's riverbanks to the medieval fortress of Blandy-les-Tours. Follow the Seine past charming villages and finish at the UNESCO-listed Palace of Fontainebleau — eight centuries of royal history in 1,500 rooms.

Day 3 — Imperial Forest to Étampes | 55 km · ↑ 300 m
Pedal through the 25,000-hectare imperial forest of Fontainebleau, pausing at Barbizon, birthplace of Impressionist painting. Discover Dannemois and reach Étampes, a royal City of Art and History.

Day 4 — Royal Cities & Forest of Rambouillet | 55 km · ↑ 300 m
Follow a charming river path to the royal city of Dourdan, gateway to the Chevreuse Natural Park. End the day at Rambouillet Castle, set within 20,000 hectares of forest — residence of kings, emperors and presidents.

Day 5 — Chevreuse Valley to Versailles | 50 km · ↑ 250 m
Cycle through the picturesque Valley of Chevreuse past abbeys, castles and wash houses. Arrive at the Palace of Versailles — Louis XIV's masterpiece, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 6 — Departure from Versailles
Breakfast and end of services.
