Short Description

An epic three-country cycling adventure from the Bavarian capital to the canals of Venice. Over eight riding days you will follow the Isar and Inn rivers, cross the Alps by train at the Brenner Pass, glide through the Dolomites on a former railway line, and descend to the Venetian lagoon.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Munich
You will arrive at your hotel in Munich, the vibrant Bavarian capital. Settle in and explore the city before the ride begins.

Day 2: Munich – Bad Tölz (60 km)
You will follow the Isar river south out of Munich, immediately immersed in unspoilt nature and lush forests. Bavarian abbeys and villages line the route as you ride through the Isar wetlands to Bad Tölz, a renowned spa town where Baroque charm meets a dramatic Alpine backdrop.

Day 3: Bad Tölz – Schwaz/Jenbach or Maurach (68–77 km)
Still tracing the Isar, you will reach the Sylvenstein reservoir, cross the Karwendel nature park and enter Austria. The route leads to the Achensee region with its mountain lake, then follows the Inn valley to Schwaz, Jenbach or Maurach.

Day 4: Schwaz/Jenbach or Maurach – Mühlbach/Bressanone (88 km + Brenner transfer)
You will ride the Inn valley cycle path to Innsbruck, capital of Tyrol, with its Golden Roof and Olympic ski jump. The challenging climb to the Brenner Pass is bypassed by an included train or bus transfer. From the pass you will coast downhill past Vipiteno and Fortezza to Bressanone.

Day 5: Mühlbach/Bressanone – Villabassa or Dobbiaco (50–55 km)
Following the Rienza river through the Val Pusteria on a beautifully maintained cycle path, you will reach Brunico — stroll through its historic main street and visit the Messner Mountain Museum in the castle. The ride continues to Villabassa or Dobbiaco.

Day 6: Villabassa or Dobbiaco – Pieve di Cadore (60–65 km)
You will ride towards the Val di Landro, passing Lake Dobbiaco and Lake Landro with breathtaking views of the Tre Cime. Illuminated tunnels of the old railway line lead you to Cortina d’Ampezzo, the Pearl of the Dolomites. A gentle descent through the Boite valley, with Monte Pelmo and Antelao framing the horizon, brings you to Pieve di Cadore, birthplace of Titian.

Day 7: Pieve di Cadore – Conegliano (80 km)
You will ride the new cycle path to Longarone, rebuilt after the Vajont dam tragedy of 1963, and continue through the foothills to Conegliano, gateway to the Prosecco hills.

Day 8: Conegliano – Venice/Mestre (95 km)
Leaving the Alps behind, you will ride across the Venetian plain towards Treviso and its canals. Palladian villas dot the landscape as you follow the Sile cycle path all the way to Mestre, the gateway to the magnificent Serenissima.

Day 9: Departure from Venice/Mestre
Individual departure, or extend your stay to explore Venice.
