Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Bregenz
You'll arrive in the festival city of Bregenz, nestled between Lake Constance and the Austrian Alps. Pick up your travel documents and rental bike (if booked) at the infopoint, then settle into your hotel and soak in the lakefront atmosphere.

Day 2: Bregenz – Güttingen/Romanshorn (45–56 km)
You'll ride through elegant lakeside parks, passing the iconic festival theatre and floating lake stage. Continue to Mehrerau, the only active monastery on Austria's Lake Constance shore. The route winds past inviting swimming spots and through the Altenrhein-Mündung nature reserve before reaching your overnight stop.

Day 3: Güttingen/Romanshorn – Rielasingen/Gailingen (51–61 km)
Today you'll follow the shoreline to Kreuzlingen, then trace the Untersee through Ermatingen and Berlingen to reach Stein am Rhein — a medieval gem with magnificently painted house facades. The day ends in Rielasingen-Gailingen.

Day 4: Rielasingen/Gailingen – Schaffhausen & Rhine Falls (30–50 km)
The Rhine cycle path carries you to Schaffhausen, where the mighty Munot Fortress watches over the old town. Then comes the highlight: the Rhine Falls, the largest waterfall in Europe, thundering into the river below. A boat trip takes you right into the spray.

Day 5: Rielasingen/Gailingen – Constance/Kreuzlingen (53 km)
You'll cross the scenic Höri Peninsula to Radolfzell, then cycle past the UNESCO-listed monastery island of Reichenau before arriving in the historic Council City of Constance. An optional island loop adds 14 km of peaceful riding.

Day 6: Constance – Friedrichshafen (33 km + ferry)
Morning time to explore flower-covered Mainau Island, then you'll catch the ferry from Staad to Meersburg — a picture-perfect crossing. The route hugs the lakeshore through Immenstaad to Friedrichshafen, with its castle church and lakeside promenade.

Day 7: Friedrichshafen – Bregenz (35 km)
Your final riding day takes you through the Argenmündung nature reserve and into the charming island town of Lindau, connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway. From here it's a scenic stretch back to Bregenz, completing your loop around the lake.

Day 8: Departure from Bregenz
After breakfast, your tour ends. You're free to head home or extend your stay with additional nights.
