Short Description

An 8-day self-guided cycling tour from Dobbiaco to Trieste through Italy, Austria and Slovenia. Cross three countries on the Dolomites cycle path, riding from alpine peaks to the Adriatic coast via Lake Bled and the Friulian wine country. From €879 per person.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Alta Pusteria (Dobbiaco / Villabassa) or Sillian
You will arrive individually in Alta Pusteria and settle into your hotel, surrounded by the peaks of the eastern Dolomites.

Day 2: Alta Pusteria/Sillian – Oberdrauburg/Kötschach Mauthen (approx. 60–75 km)
From the Dobbiaco saddle you will gently descend along the Drava River, crossing into Austria and reaching Lienz, the "City of the Sun". You will continue towards Oberdrauburg, cycling beneath the silhouette of the Dolomites.

Day 3: Oberdrauburg/Kötschach Mauthen – Feistritz/Tarvis (transfer + approx. 65 km)
After a short transfer to Gailbergpass, you will ride along the Gailtal cycle path, passing forests, lakes and the warm waters of Lake Pressegger, before reaching Feistritz an der Gail.

Day 4: Feistritz/Tarvis – Bled (approx. 55–65 km)
You will pedal towards Italy and continue to Slovenia, riding past Kranjska Gora and through unspoiled countryside until you reach Lake Bled, where mountains reflect on its tranquil waters.

Day 5: Bled – Cividale del Friuli (train + approx. 50 km)
A train transfer will bring you to Most na Soci in the Isonzo Valley. You will cycle via Kobarid and descend along the Natisone valleys to Cividale del Friuli.

Day 6: Cividale del Friuli – Gradisca d'Isonzo (approx. 35 km, or 65 km via Udine)
You will ride through the vineyards of the Collio wine region before reaching the fortress town of Gradisca d'Isonzo.

Day 7: Gradisca d'Isonzo – Trieste (approx. 40 km)
You will climb onto the Karst plateau and descend towards the Adriatic Sea, passing Miramare Castle before arriving in Trieste.

Day 8: Trieste, departure
