Short Description

An 8-day self-guided road bike tour from Alta Pusteria to Venice covering 570 km through the Italian Dolomites. Cross legendary mountain passes, conquer Monte Grappa, ride through Prosecco country, and reach the Venetian lagoon. From €829 per person with luggage transfer and GPS.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Alta Pusteria (Villabassa/Dobbiaco)
You will arrive at your hotel in Alta Pusteria, with free parking nearby. The towering Dolomite peaks that will define your first two days are already visible on the horizon.

Day 2: Villabassa/Dobbiaco – Cortina d'Ampezzo (approx. 80 km; +1,650 m)
From Villabassa, you will ride into the Sesto valley, deep in the Dolomites. The route climbs over the Monte Croce pass into the province of Belluno, then tackles two more Dolomite passes — Sant'Antonio and Tre Croci — before descending to Cortina d'Ampezzo, the legendary Olympic city ringed by soaring peaks. An alternative, longer route via Calalzo di Cadore is available.

Day 3: Cortina d'Ampezzo – Belluno (approx. 95 km; +1,600 m)
With the Tofane massif on your left and the Cinque Torri on your right, you will cross the famous Passo Giau. The descent continues toward Selva di Cadore and onward to Belluno, where iconic Dolomite passes alternate with mountain panoramas of breathtaking variety.

Day 4: Belluno – Feltre (approx. 105 km; +1,300 m)
From the quiet provincial capital of Belluno, you will ride toward Valdobbiadene and the rolling hills of the Prosecco production area. After crossing the San Boldo pass, you will continue to Feltre, a charming town steeped in history.

Day 5: Feltre – Bassano del Grappa (approx. 65 km; +1,500 m)
Before reaching the plain for good, one last great climb awaits: Monte Grappa, a site of fierce World War I battles. At the foot of the mountain, Bassano del Grappa will welcome you with its covered wooden bridge, exquisite ceramics, and the famous grappa distilleries. A visit to the Hemingway and Great War Museum is highly recommended.

Day 6: Bassano del Grappa – Treviso (approx. 110 km; +600 m)
Leaving the Alps behind, you will ride past numerous Palladian villas. A stop in Asolo — the “city of a thousand horizons” and one of Italy's most beautiful villages — is unmissable, with its cypress-dotted hills and timeless atmosphere. The day ends in Treviso, where small canals and frescoed medieval palaces evoke the nearby Serenissima.

Day 7: Treviso – Mestre/Venice (approx. 110 km; +0 m / or approx. 40 km; +100 m)
Following the Sile river, you will ride toward the Adriatic to reach Mestre, the mainland gateway to Venice. If time allows, an excursion to the magnificent Serenissima is an unforgettable experience.

Day 8: Mestre/Venice – End of tour
Individual departure or possibility to extend your stay.
