Short Description

A 9-day self-guided road bike tour from Munich to Venice covering 700 km across Germany, Austria, and Italy. Ride past Bavarian lakes, over the Brenner Pass, through the UNESCO Dolomites, and into the Prosecco hills. From €1,428 per person with luggage transfer and GPS tracks.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Munich
You will arrive in Munich, the vibrant capital of Bavaria, and settle into your hotel. The evening is yours to explore this dynamic city, from its grand beer halls to elegant boulevards.

Day 2: Munich – Bad Tölz (approx. 100 km; +620 m)
You will leave Munich and ride south toward Starnberg, then follow the wooded shores of Lake Starnberg for 15 km, past elegant villas and picturesque castles. On clear days, the Alps and even the Zugspitze will appear on the horizon. Crossing the rolling Bavarian countryside, you will reach Bad Tölz, a charming spa town where Baroque facades and Alpine panoramas merge into one unforgettable scene.

Day 3: Bad Tölz – Schwaz/Jenbach (approx. 130 km; +1,430 m)
From Bad Tölz, you will ride to Lake Tegernsee and pause to absorb its beauty, then continue to the quieter Lake Schliersee. Through the dramatic Thierseetal valley, ringed by mountain walls, you will reach the Marblinger Höhe. Gentle undulations along the Inn Valley will carry you to Jenbach, nestled at the heart of Austrian Tyrol.

Day 4: Schwaz/Jenbach – Rio di Pusteria/Bressanone (approx. 120 km; +1,500 m)
You will follow quiet roads along the Inn river to Innsbruck, capital of Tyrol, where the Golden Roof and the Bergisel Olympic ski jump await. The demanding climb to the Brenner Pass — the historic border between Austria and Italy — can be shortened by train or bus. From the pass, you will descend along the old railway route past Vipiteno to Rio di Pusteria.

Day 5: Rio di Pusteria – Villabassa/Dobbiaco (approx. 80–85 km; +2,000 m)
From Rio di Pusteria, a well-maintained cycle path will take you past the Mühlbach gorge to Vandoies. You will then climb the Strada del Sole through forest to Terento and Falzes, where the Dolomites will unfold in all their grandeur with views of Plan de Corones. A visit to a Messner Mountain Museum inside Brunico castle is recommended before reaching your overnight stay.

Day 6: Villabassa/Dobbiaco – Pieve di Cadore (approx. 85–90 km; +1,135 m)
Heading south, you will pass Lake Dobbiaco and a World War I memorial. Shortly before Lake Landro, the legendary Tre Cime di Lavaredo will come into view. A moderate climb brings you across the provincial border, and a sweeping descent leads to Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Pearl of the Dolomites. Via the Tre Croci pass and Auronzo di Cadore, you will reach Pieve di Cadore, birthplace of the painter Titian.

Day 7: Pieve di Cadore – Conegliano (approx. 95 km; +1,540 m)
A new cycle path will take you to Longarone, rebuilt after the devastating 1963 Vajont dam disaster. Past Belluno, you will tackle one final ridge — from its summit, the vast Italian plain stretches to the horizon. The descent brings you to Conegliano, gateway to the Prosecco hills and home to Italy's oldest oenology school.

Day 8: Conegliano – Mestre/Venice (approx. 85 km; +290 m)
You will ride across the Veneto plain toward Treviso, with its graceful canals and frescoed palaces, passing magnificent Palladian villas along the way. The cycle path beside the Sile river will carry you to Mestre, gateway to Venice. The evening is yours to discover the Serenissima.

Day 9: Mestre – End of tour
After breakfast, your tour will come to an end. Individual departure or possibility to extend your stay.
