What is the difficulty level of this tour?
This tour covers 40 to 70 km per day on mostly flat terrain along the Danube Cycle Path. It follows well-maintained, signposted paths with very little elevation change. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended, though e-bikes are available for rent.
What type of accommodation is provided?
You will stay in 3 and 4-star hotels selected for comfort and location along the route. All nights include a rich breakfast buffet. Hotel examples include properties in Passau, Linz, Grein, Melk, Krems and Vienna.
Is luggage transfer included?
Yes, your luggage is transported from hotel to hotel all the way to Vienna. Each person may check one piece of luggage weighing up to 23 kg.
How does the return journey from Vienna to Passau work?
The return transfer is included in the tour price. In early and late season (seasons A and B), you travel by train. In peak season (season C), a dedicated bus with bike transport takes you back. Own bikes are not transported on the train option.
What bikes are available for rent?
You can rent 21-speed touring bikes or electric bikes. Both include repair service.
