Cycle from Vienna to Bratislava in 3 days along the Danube on this easy self-guided tour. Peaceful paths wind through the wild Donauauen National Park and the Roman ruins of Carnuntum, before Bratislava's restored old town and hilltop castle welcome you.

Tour Program

Day 1: Vienna – Bad Deutsch-Altenburg (approx. 46 km)
You will leave Vienna behind and ride east into the Pannonian Lowlands, where the Danube Cycle Path continues far beyond the city. Quiet, mostly flat paths carry you through the Donauauen National Park, home to one of the last primeval floodplain forests in Europe. You will pass through the former Roman city of Petronell-Carnuntum, where the vineyards of Carnuntum offer countless delights, before reaching the health resort town of Bad Deutsch-Altenburg. You will spend the night in a comfortable hotel.

Day 2: Bad Deutsch-Altenburg – Bratislava (approx. 21 km)
After a short and gentle ride you will reach the border town of Hainburg. From there, an impressive natural landscape guides you directly into Bratislava. You will settle into a 4-star hotel in the Slovak capital, free to explore its lovingly restored old town and its many intriguing sights.

Day 3: Bratislava – departure
Your morning is free to enjoy Bratislava a little longer. Your included return bus to Vienna departs several times a day and, if booked in advance, also stops at Vienna Airport. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

The Customer may withdraw from the contract (cancel) at any time prior to commencement of the tour. Cancellation must be effected in writing. In the event of cancellation or no-show the following cancellation fees shall become due in relation to the tour price:

Up to the 28th day prior to departure 20%, however at least 50.- euros per person.

From the 27th day until the 14th day prior to departure 30%.

From the 13th day until the 8th day prior to departure 50%.

From the 7th until the 4th day prior to departure 70%.

From the 3rd day or with no-show for the tour 90%.
