VéloSud from Lourdes to Biarritz by Bike

Day 1: Arrival in Lourdes
Arrive at your hotel in Lourdes, the world-famous pilgrimage city at the foot of the Pyrenees. Visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady with its Grotto of Massabielle before your journey begins.

Day 2: Lourdes – Pau (50 km; +355 m)
Ride through the Bétharram Caves and the Sanctuary of Notre-Dame de Bétharram. Pass through the bastide village of Nay before arriving in Pau, renowned for its castle and the Boulevard des Pyrénées.

Day 3: Pau – Orthez (55 km; +120 m)
A gentle ride along the Gave de Pau river through the Béarn countryside to Orthez, the former capital of Béarn, with its fourteenth-century Pont Vieux and Moncade Tower.

Day 4: Orthez – Salies-de-Béarn (37 km; +500 m)
Detour to Sauveterre-de-Béarn, one of France's most beautiful villages with its Pont de la Légende. Continue to Salies-de-Béarn and its healing salt springs.

Day 5: Salies-de-Béarn – Urt (47 km; +235 m)
Ride along the Bidouze and Adour rivers through gentle Pyrenean foothills, past the Château de Gramont, to the small river port of Urt.

Day 6: Urt – Biarritz (31 km; +130 m)
Follow the Adour to Bayonne with its Vauban ramparts and Basque specialty restaurants. Continue along the coast through Anglet to Biarritz, arriving at the magnificent Atlantic beaches.

Day 7: Departure
