Short Description
Ride gravel and dirt tracks through Peneda-Gerês, Portugal's only national park, on this 9-day self-guided tour. Chestnut forests, granite villages and high mountain passes make every stage a real adventure. You will start on the Atlantic coast at Esposende and follow the Lima River inland, before climbing into the park's forests and crossing briefly into Spain at Lóbios. Montalegre's castle, old granaries and quiet back roads lead you to Gerês, with transfers from and to Porto taking care of the logistics.
