Short Description

Mountain bike around Italy's largest lake in 6 days. From Bussolengo past Salò and over the Ponale trail to Malcesine, with a cable car ascent of Monte Baldo at 1,700 m. 175-240 km of trails and panoramic roads.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Bussolengo
You will arrive in Bussolengo, just 15 km from Verona, beautifully set on the River Adige between Lake Garda and the vine-covered hills of the Veneto Pre-Alps. Explore the picturesque old town and savour local delicacies paired with Amarone della Valpolicella.

Day 2: Bussolengo – Salò (approx. 55 km)
Your first ride will bring you to the shores of Lake Garda near Peschiera. Enjoy pleasant stops in charming lakeside towns like Desenzano, Padenghe, and Moniga before reaching Salò, nestled in a bay on the western shore. Stroll along its famous lakeside promenade as the day winds down.

Day 3: Salò – Tignale – Vesio (approx. 22 km or 62 km)
A minibus transfer will take you from Salò up to Tignale, a village set in pristine nature. Visit the Sanctuary of Madonna di Montecastello, perched on a promontory with a stunning view of the lake. You will then ride on to Vesio, a mountain village steeped in First World War history and a strategic vantage point over the lake. From Vesio, an optional circular route climbs to the Passo Nota and returns along the historic military road.

Day 4: Vesio – Malcesine (approx. 46 km or 19 km + boat)
From Vesio you will cross the Passo Nota and follow the road along the lake. The scenic Ponale Giacomo Cis trail will lead you down to Riva del Garda, from where you will ride along the eastern shore through extraordinary landscapes to Malcesine, with its imposing medieval castle overlooking the crystal-clear water.

Day 5: Malcesine – Bussolengo (approx. 40 km)
Take the cable car from Malcesine up to Monte Baldo at 1,700 m — the views are breathtaking. From the summit, the route heads inland through the Garda hinterland. A stop at Rivoli Veronese, site of famous Napoleonic battles, offers the chance to explore its old centre and the hilltop Church of San Giorgio before the final stretch back to Bussolengo.

Day 6: Departure from Bussolengo
Individual departure or extension of stay.
