Istrian Wine Roads Short Break

Day 1 — Arrival in Buje
Welcome to Istria. Meet your Fiore representative at the hotel at 7pm for an orientation briefing. Collect your bike, maps, and road book. Settle into your accommodation in the Buje area and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 — Buje to Motovun (37 km)
Ride towards Groznan, the charming "Town of Artists" perched on a hilltop, where art studios and jazz notes fill the narrow streets. Continue to Oprtalj with its medieval architecture and stunning panoramic views from the town loggia. Descend to Livade, Istria's truffle capital, before climbing to the iconic hilltop town of Motovun overlooking the Mirna River valley.

Day 3 — Motovun to Porec (40 km)
Head from inland towards the coast. Pass through Visnjan, home to one of the world's most renowned observatories, and enjoy sweeping views of the western Istrian coastline. Visit local wine cellars to sample Malvasia before riding through Tar and Nova Vas to reach the historic coastal town of Porec.

Day 4 — Porec to Rovinj via Kanfanar (34 km + optional 32 km)
Choose to cycle or transfer to Kanfanar above the Lim valley. From there, enjoy the flattest stretch of the tour past traditional Istrian stone houses (kazun). Visit the Bembo Palace in Bale, stop at the Palud ornithological reserve, and explore the Bronze Age site of Monkodonja before arriving in Rovinj — the "Pearl of the Adriatic" — with its iconic hilltop church and Venetian old town.

Day 5 — Departure
Enjoy a final breakfast and depart from Rovinj, taking home memories of Istria's rolling vineyards, truffle forests, and sparkling Adriatic coast.
