Drava and Carinthian Lakes Lienz to Klagenfurt

Day 1 — Arrival in Lienz
Arrive in Lienz and check in to your 3-star hotel. Your rental bike (if booked) is waiting at the hotel. Parking, subject to availability, at the hotel or at the public car parks at the station (Ladestraße) or the Dolomitenstadion (approx. €24 per week or €4.80 per 24 h), payable on site.

Day 2 — Berg im Drautal / Dellach (33 or 59 km + 38 min train)
Take the train from Lienz to Sillian (hourly, approx. €13 per person on site) and cycle the Drau path gently downhill through peaceful sections past Lienz to your overnight stop. Shorter option: ride directly from Lienz (33 km).

Day 3 — Spittal an der Drau (45 km)
Pedal through deciduous forest, past medieval Greifenburg and the castles of Neustein and Raggnitz to Lind and Spittal. Overnight in a 3- or 4-star hotel.

Day 4 — Lake Millstatt Loop (38 km)
A highlight day — via Lendorf and Seeboden, circle Carinthia's second-largest lake via Döbriach with beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Overnight as the day before.

Day 5 — Villach (38 km)
Follow the Drava banks past the Roman-era excavations of the Carantana Museum, Rothenthurn Castle and Feistritz to Villach. Overnight in a 3- or 4-star hotel.

Day 6 — Krumpendorf / Klagenfurt (42 km)
On the cycle path to St. Lambrecht, then on a level side road to Velden and along the shoreline path of Lake Wörthersee via Krumpendorf to Klagenfurt. Overnight in a 3- or 4-star hotel.

Day 7 — Wörthersee Loop (40 km)
A full lap of Carinthia's largest bathing lake with stunning Karawanken views. Tip: a coffee stop in Velden at the former lakeside film-castle hotel. Overnight as the day before.

Day 8 — Departure
End of the tour after breakfast. The return journey to Lienz by train is included (daily, 1 change); a bus transfer is available on Saturdays at extra cost. Or extend your stay.
