Drava and Carinthian Lakes Lienz to Klagenfurt

Day 1 — Arrival in Lienz
Arrive in the sunny Dolomite town of Lienz. Pick up your rental bike and explore the historic centre beneath the Schloss Bruck.

Day 2 — Berg im Drautal / Dellach (33 or 59 km)
Take the train to Sillian and cycle the Drau path gently downhill through secluded forest sections past Lienz to your overnight stop. Shorter option: ride directly from Lienz (33 km).

Day 3 — Spittal an der Drau (45 km)
Pedal through deciduous forest, pass the medieval town of Greifenburg and the castles of Neustein and Raggnitz to reach Spittal, gateway to the Carinthian lakes.

Day 4 — Lake Millstätt Round Tour (41 km)
A highlight day — circle Carinthia's second-largest lake via Döbriach with stunning mountain panoramas on every side.

Day 5 — Villach (38 km)
Follow the Drava banks past Roman remains at the Carantana Museum, Rothenthurn Castle and Feistritz to the thermal spa town of Villach.

Day 6 — Krumpendorf / Klagenfurt (42 km)
Ride via Velden along the shimmering shoreline of Lake Wörthersee to Krumpendorf and onward to Klagenfurt.

Day 7 — Wörthersee Round Trip (40 km)
A full lap of Carinthia's most famous lake with wild-romantic Karawanken views. Coffee stop in Velden at the iconic film-castle hotel.

Day 8 — Departure
End of the tour. Return to Lienz by direct train (approx. 2.5 h) or extend your stay.
