Short Description

An 8-day self-guided cycling tour along the Danube from Linz to Vienna covering 190 km on flat, car-free cycle paths. One of Europe's easiest routes — ideal for families and beginners. From €622 per person.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Linz
You will arrive in the Upper Austrian capital, check in and receive your travel documents. A first walk through the old town or dinner by the river sets the tone.

Day 2: Linz – city loop
You will explore Ars Electronica Center and Lentos, then ride to Mural Harbour. Linz Castle, the Old Cathedral or the Pöstlingberg complete a relaxed cultural circuit—finished with Linzer Torte.

Day 3: Linz – Grein (approx. 60 km)
You will follow the Danube past St. Florian Abbey and on to Enns with its tower and Lauriacum Museum. Optional stop at the Mauthausen Memorial before reaching Grein with Greinburg Castle and the historic theatre.

Day 4: Grein – Melk (approx. 50 km)
Through the quiet Strudengau of floodplains and forested slopes, you will roll into Melk and visit the famous abbey with library and collegiate church.

Day 5: Melk – Krems (approx. 40 km)
You will ride the Wachau's vineyards and villages—Weißenkirchen, Dürnstein—perhaps tasting wine or climbing to the castle ruins of Richard the Lionheart, then arrive in Krems for cafés and galleries.

Day 6: Krems – Vienna (approx. 40 km; train Krems–Tulln)
A short train takes you to Tulln. After The GARTEN TULLN, you will continue via Klosterneuburg to Vienna. Schönbrunn's park and staterooms invite an evening visit—or a slice of Sacher Torte.

Day 7: Vienna – your highlights
With a 24‑hour hop‑on hop‑off ticket, you will choose your stops: St. Stephen's, Hofburg, Belvedere, Museum Quarter, Kunsthistorisches, Naschmarkt. Evening along the Ringstrasse or a concert.

Day 8: Vienna – departure or extra nights
Return to Linz by train, or extend your stay for more coffee‑house culture and music history.
