What is the difficulty level of this tour?
This is an easy tour on mostly flat terrain with gentle cycling paths and quiet roads. The only notable climbing is on Day 2 through the Entre-Deux-Mers hillsides with 430 metres of elevation. An e-bike option is available for extra comfort.
What type of accommodation is provided?
You will stay in a mix of 3-star hotels and charming guesthouses. The final night is in a 3 or 4-star hotel in Arcachon by the seafront. All nights include breakfast, and one dinner is included on Day 3.
How do I get to the starting point and back?
A taxi transfer from Bordeaux train station or airport to Cadillac is included on Day 1. At the end, you take the train from Arcachon to Bordeaux, approximately one hour and 12 euros per person.
What type of bike is best for this tour?
A touring bike is ideal for the flat paths and quiet roads. E-bikes and gravel bikes are also available for rent.
When is the best time to do this tour?
The tour runs from April to October with no departures on Thursdays. Late spring and early autumn offer mild weather and quiet roads. July and August bring warmer days perfect for the ocean.
Is luggage transfer included?
Yes, your luggage is transferred between accommodations on all cycling days. You ride with just a light daypack.
