When is the best time to cycle from Bled to Venice?
You can start any day between 18 April and 12 October 2027. Season A (18 April – 8 May and 26 September – 12 October) is quieter and cooler, ideal for the alpine stages. Season B covers 9–22 May and 12–25 September, and summer (23 May – 11 September) brings warm weather for a swim at the finish. The date of Day 1 sets the season.
How difficult is the Bled to Venice cycling tour?
It is rated 2 of 4 (medium), for anyone who cycles for fun rather than training. Stages range from 46 to 87 km on quiet roads and cycleways, mostly paved, with short gravel stretches. The main climb is the Sorica pass on Day 3 (+1,020 m); a train shortcut cuts that day to 30 km, and the Italian stages are flat.
Can I rent a bike for the Bled to Venice tour?
Yes. Per-tour prices: standard touring bike €120, electric touring bike €300, gravel bike €250, standard MTB €190 and e-MTB €300, with helmet, repair kit and pump. Every rental includes a Standard Damage Waiver: the excess for accidental damage is €50 for a touring bike or €150 for other bikes, and an optional upgrade (€25/€50) reduces it to €0.
How do I get to Bled and back from Lido di Jesolo?
The nearest airports are Ljubljana, Trieste, Venice and Klagenfurt. One-way private transfers to Bled for 1–3 people cost €90 from Ljubljana Airport, €435 from Venice Marco Polo Airport and €210 from Klagenfurt Airport, plus €10 per bike; from Lesce–Bled railway station it is €20. A transfer from Lido di Jesolo back to Bled costs €400.
Are tourist taxes included on the Bled to Venice tour?
Local tourist taxes in Slovenia are included. In Italy, from Day 5 onwards, tourist and local taxes are not included and are paid directly at the hotels. Luggage transfer (one piece of up to 23 kg per person), route navigation in an app, backup hotline assistance and the Day 4 transfer to the Kolovrat ridge are included.
Can I add extra nights in Bled or Lido di Jesolo?
Yes. Extra nights with breakfast are available in Bled (3★/4★, from €115 per person in a double room), Bohinj (4★, from €125) and Lido di Jesolo (4★ beachfront, from €130), with prices varying by season.
