Where to see the tulips
If you have little time, the first place to admire the bloom is certainly the Keukenhof Park, near Lisse, where about 7 million bulbs bloom each year. It is considered the largest bulb park in the world and is located 35 km from Amsterdam. It is therefore very easy to reach, even by bike!
However, Keukenhof is not the only place where you can admire the colourful expanses of tulips, you just need to take the bike and start pedalling through the Flevoland region, in the northwestern polder, to immerse yourself in multi-coloured expanses. Here you find most of the companies cultivating bulbs and every year the main Tulip Festivals are held. In this region, there is also a real route of about 100 km, which allows admiring all the blooms, also defined by National Geographic one of the most beautiful routes in the world. Finally, the cultivated fields are also found along the coast of The Hague, near Leiden up to Alkmaar.
