Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Trier
You will arrive in the ancient Roman city of Trier and settle into your 4-star hotel. After collecting your travel documents and rental bike (if booked), you will enjoy an included wine tasting at the Trier wine house — the perfect start to your Wine & Delight journey. Parking is available near the hotel (approx. €12/day, bookable on site).

Day 2: Trier – Wintrich (56 km)
You will ride alongside the Moselle, past Schweich with its Old Ferry Tower, encountering traces of Roman history at every turn — Villa Rustika, a Roman water conduit, a Roman ship and a Roman winepress. The route glides through the sweeping Trittenheim Moselle bend, past Neumagen-Dhron, to your overnight stop in Wintrich. Overnight in a 3-star hotel.

Day 3: Wintrich – Reil (42 km)
Today the Moselle's famous loops will define your ride. You will cycle through picturesque vineyards to Bernkastel-Kues, where Landshut Castle towers above and the marketplace is lined with colourful half-timbered houses. Wine lovers will appreciate the Moselle Wine Museum with its vinotheque. You will continue through Traben-Trarbach, with its Grevenburg ruins and old town walls, to Reil. Overnight in a 3-star wine inn.

Day 4: Reil – Treis-Karden (58 km)
You will ride through Bullay with its Roman settlements, Bremm with the Stuben monastery ruins, and Beilstein — the "Rothenburg on the Moselle" — with Metternich castle ruins. The route continues through medieval Cochem, where the Reichsburg has stood since the year 1000, to Treis-Karden and its Abbey Museum. Overnight in a 3- or 4-star hotel.

Day 5: Treis-Karden – Koblenz (38 km)
From the heart of the Moselle valley you may visit the spectacular Eltz Castle. You will ride past Bischofstein Castle, Hatzenport, and Thurant Castle, then through the wine villages of Kobern-Gondorf and Güls. The final 6 km deliver you along the river to the Deutsches Eck — where the Moselle meets the Rhine — in the centre of Koblenz. Overnight in a 3- or 4-star hotel.

Day 6: Departure
Your tour ends after breakfast. You may extend your stay with additional nights or begin your journey home.
