🙋 Common questions
How difficult is a 15-day cycling tour of the Baltic states?
The tour is rated moderate. Daily stages run from 25 to 65 km on quiet roads and cycle paths, with about 569 km of cycling over 13 riding days. Most of the route is flat, with a few climbs on the Curonian Spit, in the Gauja valley and around Otepää. Long distances between regions are covered by minibus.
When is the best time to cycle through Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia?
Fixed departures leave every Monday from late May to the end of August. June has the longest days, July and August the warmest weather. Other dates from May to September are possible on request for groups of six or more.
How much does the 15-day Baltic states tour cost?
Prices start from €2,545 per person in a double room on the early and late departures and €2,595 from mid-June to mid-August. The single supplement is €850 or €955. The price includes 14 nights with breakfast, minibus transfers, luggage transport, boat and ferry crossings, guided tours in three capitals, GPS tracks and maps.
Is there a minimum group size for this tour?
Yes. Fixed departures need at least four participants, so a couple can book and the departure is confirmed once four guests are reached. Solo travellers can join with a single room. Private dates need at least six people.
What bikes can I rent for the full Baltic tour?
For the whole tour you can rent a trekking bike with pannier and handlebar bag for €199, an e-bike for €489, or an aluminium or carbon gravel bike. Helmets are available for €15. You can also bring your own bike.
How do I get to Vilnius and back from Riga?
You fly into Vilnius and home from Riga, both with international airports. Arrival and departure transfers by car or minivan and extra nights in both cities can be booked as extras.
What is the difference between this tour and the 11-day Vilnius to Tallinn tour?
The first ten days are the same route from Vilnius to Tallinn. This version adds four more days in Estonia and Latvia: Lahemaa National Park, Lake Peipsi and Tartu, the hills of Otepää and the Gauja valley, before returning to Riga.
