Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Nantes
You will discover the charms and secrets of this city of Art and History on the banks of the Loire: the magnificent houses of its old districts, its cathedral and the castle of the Dukes of Brittany.

Day 2: Nantes – Saint-Brévin (65 km; +230 m)
Your first stage will lead you to the Loire estuary, with its calm and wild landscapes between marshland and countryside. Then you will breathe the fresh, salty sea air of Saint-Brévin-les-Pins and enjoy its beautiful beaches.

Day 3: Saint-Brévin – Bouin (50 km; +300 m)
You will discover the oyster capital of the Vendée, a former island now protected by dikes and polders, unique in France. You will watch the salt marsh workers and, at Port du Bec, you will taste a few oysters with a view over the island of Noirmoutier.

Day 4: Bouin – Saint-Jean-de-Monts (55 km; +100 m)
You will follow cycle paths through dunes and forests, admiring the 20th-century villas all along the way. In Saint-Jean-de-Monts, a beautiful beach of fine white sand awaits you for a romantic walk at sunset.

Day 5: Saint-Jean-de-Monts – Les Sables-d'Olonne (55 km; +160 m)
Between Sion and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, you will ride along the picturesque rocks of Cinq-Pinteaux and Trou du Diable. You will discover the old fishing port of Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez before reaching Les Sables-d'Olonne, the famous departure town of the Vendée Globe race, where you can taste local seafood such as the well-known sablaise sardine.

Day 6: Les Sables-d'Olonne – La Tranche-sur-Mer (48 km; +200 m)
The first part of the stage will keep you close to the sea, from beaches to rocky coves, before you ride along the Payré estuary and its striking, contrasting colours. You will leave your bike for a swim on one of the lovely beaches, such as the Conche beach, before reaching La Tranche-sur-Mer, a seaside resort famous for board sports.

Day 7: La Tranche-sur-Mer – La Rochelle (70 km; +140 m)
You will cycle through the dry part of the Marais Poitevin and follow the greenways to the village of Marans, where the church surprises with its bell tower of glass and metal. Then you will continue to La Rochelle, with its old towers and the remains of its defensive walls, and enjoy the charm of the old town bathed in warm, soft light.
