Gulf of Corinth: Corfu to Athens

Day 1: Corfu – Corfu City (0 km)
You will arrive independently by plane and transfer to the ship. Check-in on board the Panagiota is possible from 2 pm onwards. You will enjoy dinner on board and spend your first night moored at Corfu.

Day 2: Corfu – Paxos Island (23 km)
You will cast off in the morning and sail to Paxos, the smallest of the seven Ionian Islands, so densely covered in olive trees that the whole island seems to glisten silver-green. Your morning tour will lead you around the island, with plenty of time for a swim at one of the many beaches. The evening will be yours in a cosy tavern in the natural harbour of Gaios.

Day 3: Lefkas Town – Nidri (30 km)
Your day will begin with a longer sail to the town of Lefkas, passing the original swing bridge that connects the island to the Greek mainland. Today's ride will take you across the island's mountain landscape to the lively harbour of Nidri. From your mooring you will be able to see Skorpios, once the private island of shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis.

Day 4: Ithaca Island – Mesolongi (20 km)
Early in the morning you will cruise to Ithaca for the day's bike tour. This hilly island with its spectacular scenery is said to have been the home of the mythical king Odysseus. You will ride among gnarled olive trees and crystal-clear water, well off the beaten tourist track. A longer sail will then bring you to Mesolongi, in the Corinthian Gulf, for the night. A longer 28 km variant is available.

Day 5: Mesolongi – Delphi – Galaxidi (0 km)
A transfer bus will collect you in the morning and take you to the medieval town of Nafpaktos, where you can stroll through the old town with its Venetian harbour and fortifications. The journey will then continue to Delphi, at the foot of the Parnassos Mountains, where Apollo was worshipped and the oracle consulted. Afterwards your bus will bring you to the port of Galaxidi. If you wish, you can cycle to a nearby beach for an afternoon swim.

Day 6: Galaxidi – Corinth Canal – Aegina Island (20 km)
You will lift anchor early and head towards the Isthmus of Corinth. The passage through the Corinth Canal, completed in 1893 and already planned by Julius Caesar, is one of the absolute highlights of this trip: 6.3 km long, 24 metres wide and 8 metres deep. From the Saronic Gulf you will set course for Aegina, and in the afternoon you will enjoy a coastal ride to the fishing port of Perdika.

Day 7: Aegina Island – Athens (30 km)
Aegina is known well beyond its borders for its pistachios. Your last bike ride will take you from the island's capital past the Monastery of Saint Nektarios and on to the well-preserved Temple of Aphaia, perched high above the blue sea. The ship will wait for you in the town of Aegina for the final crossing to Athens/Piraeus, where a farewell dinner on board rounds off your Greek adventure.

Day 8: Athens (0 km)
After breakfast you will check out and travel home independently, or extend your stay in Athens.
