What is the difficulty level of this tour?
The tour is rated easy. The terrain is predominantly flat with gentle rolling hills, using a mix of dedicated cycle paths through forests and quiet country roads alongside vineyards and streams. Daily distances range from 25 to 60 kilometres, so you can ride at a relaxed pace with plenty of time for sightseeing and wine tasting.
What type of accommodation is provided?
You will stay in a mix of 3-star hotels and charming guesthouses carefully selected for their character and comfort. All rooms have private en-suite bathrooms. Five dinners featuring regional cuisine and local wines are included in the package.
How do I get to the starting point?
You should arrive at Bordeaux train station or airport. A taxi transfer from Bordeaux to Pian-Médoc on Day 1 is included in the package. On the last day you will be transferred to Saint-André-de-Cubzac train station.
Is luggage transfer included?
Yes, your luggage is transferred between accommodations on every cycling day so you can ride with just a daypack. Each bike comes equipped with a rear bag and handlebar bag for daily essentials.
Can I ride without renting a bike?
Yes, you can bring your own bicycle. A small surcharge applies for transporting your own bike to the start and from the finish. Helmets are available on request if you rent a bike.
