Drava Cycle Path Classic: Sillian to Lake Klopein

Day 1: Arrival in Sillian
You will arrive in the charming Alpine town of Sillian, nestled at the foot of the Carnic Alps. Your rental bike, if booked, will be waiting for you at the hotel. Free parking is available directly at or near the hotel.

Day 2: Sillian – Oberdrauburg/Dellach (52/62 km)
You will set off along the Drava Cycle Path, passing the impressive Heinfels Castle and continuing through Thal to the historic town of Lienz, where Bruck Castle and the picturesque townscape await. The route then takes you past the archaeological excavation sites of Aguntum before reaching your overnight destination.

Day 3: Oberdrauburg – Sachsenburg/Möllbrücke (41/32 km)
Today you will cycle past the historic town of Greifenburg and through quiet farming villages. The route leads via Raggnitz to Sachsenburg or nearby Möllbrücke, offering a relaxed stage through the heart of the Upper Drau Valley.

Day 4: Sachsenburg – Villach (50 km)
A leisurely and consistently flat ride awaits you today. You will follow the Drava Cycle Path through beautiful countryside, passing Rothenthum Castle and Paternion, then past the Gersheim marble factory to reach Villach. Explore the historic city centre with the Heiligenkreuz church.

Day 5: Villach – Ferlach/Unterbergen (52 km)
You will ride to Carinthia's most species-rich zoo at Rosegg, then continue via the pilgrimage church of Maria Elend and through Feistritz to reach Ferlach, the famous Gunsmith Town. The Rosental valley offers some of the tour's most scenic riding.

Day 6: Ferlach – Lake Klopein (47 km)
Your final riding day takes you through the partly secluded Rosental valley to Gallizien. You will pass Neudenstein Castle and ride to Völkermarkt with its picturesque old town hall, then continue on quiet side roads to St. Kanzian on the warm waters of Lake Klopein.

Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, your tour ends. You may journey home or extend your stay with additional nights at the lake.
