Short Description

Explore Puglia's highlights from a single base in Alberobello. Daily rides to trulli country, Ostuni's white walls, the Castellana caves, Polignano a Mare, and UNESCO-listed Matera. Half board included.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Alberobello
You will arrive in Alberobello, the small city in the province of Bari known the world over for its trulli — ancient drystone houses topped with grey conical roofs, so unique they have been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1996. Settle into your accommodation and wander through this open-air museum.

Day 2: Alberobello and Surroundings (approx. 50 km)
Your first ride will take you through green olive groves, vineyards, and almond trees to the small town of Noci, with its charming historic centre. The gentle countryside around Alberobello is the perfect warm-up for the days ahead.

Day 3: Alberobello – Castellana Caves Circular (approx. 45 km)
Today you will ride to the spectacular Castellana Caves, one of Italy's most important speleological complexes. Vast natural galleries carved by an ancient river reveal thousands of years of stalactites and stalagmites. On the way back, enjoy sweeping views over the Adriatic.

Day 4: Alberobello – Locorotondo – Cisternino – Ostuni Circular (approx. 35 km)
You will pedal into the heart of the Valle d'Itria, passing holm-oak groves, dry-stone walls, and clusters of trulli. After Locorotondo, the "City of White Wine," you will continue to Cisternino and then Ostuni — the dazzling "White City" crowning three hilltops with a magnificent view of the sea. A shuttle will return you to Alberobello.

Day 5: Free Day or Martina Franca Circular (approx. 45 km)
Enjoy a day of rest by the pool, or ride to the baroque town of Martina Franca, set halfway between the Ionian and Adriatic seas. The Ducal Palace and the Basilica of San Martino are well worth a visit.

Day 6: Alberobello – Monopoli – Polignano a Mare Circular (approx. 45 km)
You will reach Monopoli, the most important port between Bari and Brindisi, then continue to Polignano a Mare — a town perched dramatically on the edge of sheer cliffs, where the blue of the sea, the white of the houses, and the aroma of food in the narrow lanes capture the essence of Puglia. A shuttle will bring you back to Alberobello.

Day 7: Alberobello – Matera Circular (approx. 65 km)
A morning transfer will bring you to Matera, the "City of Stones" and UNESCO World Heritage site since 1993. Walk through its extraordinary landscape of cave dwellings, rupestrian churches, and architecture layered from the Middle Ages to the modern era. You will cycle back to Alberobello through the rolling countryside.

Day 8: Departure from Alberobello
Individual departure or extension of stay.
