Cycle around Mallorca on this 9-day self-guided tour, tracing sun-soaked coastal roads and mountain passes through the Sierra de Tramuntana. You will ride past turquoise bays, historic villages and dramatic sea cliffs, with hotels and luggage transfer arranged each day.

Tour Program

Day 1: Arrival in Palma de Mallorca
You will arrive on the island and transfer to your beachfront hotel in Ca'n Pastilla. A long sandy beach and a cycle path along the promenade lead into the city of Palma de Mallorca, and the rest of the day is yours to enjoy the beach or explore the city.

Day 2: Palma de Mallorca - Colonia de Sant Jordi (52-76 km)
From Ca'n Pastilla you will follow the cycle path along the Bahia de Palma before the route turns inland and returns to the coast. This stretch is one of the least commercial in Mallorca, shaped by cliffs and dotted with tiny coves surrounded by pines and junipers. You will pause at the beach of Es Trenc and its former salt mines before reaching Colonia de Sant Jordi.

Day 3: Colonia de Sant Jordi - Porto Cristo (47-61 km)
You will pass Ses Salines, where the Romans once extracted salt, and a short side trip leads to a lighthouse on a rocky stretch of coast. The route continues to the village of Santanyi, close to the Parc Natural de Mondrago with its birdlife and beach, before reaching Porto Cristo, home to the Cuevas del Drac caves and their underground lake.

Day 4: Porto Cristo - Cala Ratjada (44 km)
Today's ride follows more of Mallorca's coastline and beaches, passing cafes and restaurants along the way. You will ride by the Cuevas de Arta, its entrance overlooking the sea, and the beach of Canyamel before reaching the castle of Capdepera and the resort of Cala Ratjada.

Day 5: Cala Ratjada - Port de Pollenca (53-71 km)
You will ride through Arta, a village of narrow medieval streets and a 15th-century fortress, before crossing the wide Bahia de Alcudia, home to the birdlife of the Parc Natural de S'Albufera. The route passes Alcudia, with its medieval walls and Roman ruins of Pollentia, before reaching the bay and your hotel in Port de Pollenca.

Day 6: Port de Pollenca - Port de Pollenca (29-40 km)
Today takes you out to the Cape de Formentor lighthouse, riding beneath cliffs that drop straight into the deep blue sea. A shorter option leads to the beach of Platja de Formentor, and you can also choose a short ride into the village of Pollenca or simply enjoy a free day on its pine-lined promenade.

Day 7: Port de Pollenca - Port de Soller (62 km)
You will climb into the Sierra de Tramuntana, riding first through the village of Pollenca before the first ascent to Lluc and its monastery. The route continues past the famous descent of Sa Calobra and through the villages of Fornalutx and Biniaraix on the way to Soller and Port de Soller.

Day 8: Port de Soller - Palma de Mallorca / Can Pastilla (54-70 km)
Your final day of riding takes you through more of the Sierra de Tramuntana, past Deia, once home to the writer Robert Graves, and Valldemossa, once home to Chopin. Olive groves and orange, lemon and almond trees line the coastline back to Palma de Mallorca, and a coastal cycle path returns you to Can Pastilla.

Day 9: Departure from Can Pastilla
You will depart from Can Pastilla, or you may choose to add an extra day or two to relax in Palma de Mallorca.
